Contribute FeedbackSharkey's in Ladner is a prime spot for boaters to stop in for a drink or a meal, but unfortunately, the food quality has not improved over the years. Some customers have reported abysmal dishes like cod bites and coconut shrimp, as well as overcooked halibut and soggy fries. The service, however, has generally been pleasant, and the site offers a nice ambiance both indoors and on the patio. While some have had disappointing experiences with phone orders and pricing discrepancies, others have found the interior decor quirky and enjoyable, and have praised the friendly and efficient service. Despite some food-related disappointments, Sharkey's still remains a popular spot for drinks and gatherings, particularly during events like jam night. Overall, Sharkey's seems to have mixed reviews, with some visitors looking forward to returning for the pleasant surprises and efficient service, while others have been left with lingering dissatisfaction from their dining experiences.

A week ago my wife and I wanted to go out for dinner, nothing exceptional but a place where we could get a nice meal and surprise surprise we had a wonderful, delicious meal. We both ordered the blueberry sockeye salmon pan fried. My wife had rice and I had garlic mashed potatoes. There was a medley of veggies from sweet onions to carrots, squash asparagus and I am sure there was others. The meal was absolutely fantastic and delicious and was one of the best meals that I have ever had in a restaurant and the suggested wine went extremely well with the meal. the cost was extremely reasonable and I will definitely go back to Sharkeys again.
It's been almost a year since the last visit here. The spot is still prime for Ladner. It is right adjacent to an arm of the river leading from Richmond, which means it's an ideal spot for boaters to stop in for a drink or a meal. But that's where the charm ends. The food has just not improved in the past year and in fact the cod bites and coconut shrimp we had were just abysmal. While service was pleasant and the site is nice, the food is a huge negative here. It must not bother the locals because the restaurant is still in business. Good spot for drinks is the best I can say.
