Bobby Chez - Delran

The food is excellent! It's a shame they can't stay open later, as some people still have work commitments. I understand that Bobby is quite successful, but the limited hours are really hurting his business. If it weren't for that, I would give it a 5-star rating. Food: 5/5

One common complaint seems to be their hours; this is more of a fine deli than a full restaurant, and they typically close at 6 PM. They do accept phone orders, so if you can make it before they close, it's definitely worth it. Now, about the food: the crab cakes are their specialty and they live up to the hype. They are absolutely delicious with fresh crab meat—no fishy taste at all! You get a generous serving, and they’re fried to perfection, served hot minutes after cooking. You really can't compare these to frozen crab cakes, which are often loaded with bread filler. The stuffed chicken was also tasty with a nice crispy exterior; while it didn’t have a ton of chicken, the stuffing, which included veggies, spinach, and artichoke, was delightful. The accompanying gravy really enhanced the flavor. The mac and cheese was creamy and made for a great addition to my lunch. Just a heads up, most of the food is served cold and raw initially. They can fry and heat it up for you, but that can take about 10 to 15 minutes, so if you’re on a tight schedule, it’s best to order ahead. The staff were incredibly friendly and seemed to work hard, giving the place a positive vibe. The restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained. The only downside I noticed was that the Diet Coke tasted a bit like seltzer—I'd love to see them be more attentive to their fountain drinks!

I visited for lunch today, as I usually do, but it turned out to be the worst experience I've ever had at this restaurant. I ordered my lunch for work, but my crab cakes were overcooked and slightly burnt, while my fish was barely cooked. Additionally, the mac and cheese was cold. The attitude from Emily was completely uncalled for! Where is the other girl who usually works here—Shalynn? She is so much friendlier and always provides excellent service. I strongly suggest bringing her back and getting rid of Emily. I will not be returning; I don't pay for rudeness!

The experience and service I had was literally horrible.So let me first just say that their food is great. It taste really good. My problem was that whatever girl that was the taking orders spot when I went there needs to be trained on how todo her job customer service again.So I order over the phone at 3:30p 3 pieces of fish. (That 's it! No sides no meal. Just 3 fried fish) lady said it be ready In 20 mins. I get to bobby chez at 4:50p. There was a line to the door. I wait in line and it took 20-30mins to get to the front of it. I tell the girl I 'm picking up for my name since she asked what name. She tells me it 's not ready. I look at my phone for the time and its 4:20p I looked at her confused and said what do you mean it 's not ready . She says it 's not ready I said I ordered this over an hr ago what are you guys going to the Atlantic city ocean to go get it. She said we are very busy today so your just going have to wait. I said so when is it going to be ready bcus I just standed in this line for 30 mins for food I ordered 1.5hrs ago. The girl try to take the next customer but I said no um excuse me lil girl. You need to explain why my food is not ready or get your manager or something because this is unacceptable. The girl act like I was being a rude customer but come to find out the other girl that was supposedly training at the register was doing a better job than the girl that was handling me because she over heard that I just ordered 3 pieces of fish and said oh that was done over an hour ago I looked at the girl that try to say my food wasn 't ready and said oh it 's not ready yet huh!. So the mystery as to why I was told my food was not ready yet it was sitting right on top of the shelf is mind blowing. It was that moment I did go off in bobby chez but not a single staff or customer said anything and let me rant because EVERYONE witness how I was told over 4 times my food was not ready and how the girl just tried to by pass helping me and went to the next customer since the she was telling me my order was not ready when MY ORDER WAS SITTING ON THE SHELF.Made me late to work for this foolishness.Nobody even apologized.. they just rung me up quietly because they knew they was in the wrong .She probably does not even work there anymore but because of that experience..I no longer will order or set foot in there.Literally unfuckingg believable.

Got order wrong. $65 for 3 stuffed shrimp (over cooked) and 2 crab cakes . Forgot my fries and coleslaw.2 strikes for bobby
