Americas - DELAFIELD
Americas
Description
In a recent exploration of America, diners encountered mixed experiences as the restaurant is currently closed for a rebranding effort, leaving patrons frustrated by the lack of communication regarding reservations. While some meals, like the flavorful short rib tacos, received praise, others, such as the disappointing lamb and inconsistently cooked filet, fell short of expectations. On a positive note, attentive and friendly service shone through, with staff working collaboratively to enhance the dining experience. Despite the service delays and menu shortcomings, many guests expressed willingness to return, buoyed by the enticing flavors and gluten-free options available.

The restaurant is currently closed, and it would be helpful to remove them from listings and stop accepting reservations. We arrived to find a dark building, as they are undergoing a change to a new concept and will remain closed until they reopen.
Americas is closed. Why wasn't this information made clear? It seems they might even be changing their name. It's hard for me to trust OpenTable in the future after this.
Our waitress, Jennifer, was fantastic. She was friendly and offered helpful suggestions from the menu. She was also very attentive. The entire staff worked together seamlessly.
Normally, we love this restaurant. It was a very different experience this time. Portions were noticeably smaller. Felt like the server was rushing us despite half the tables being empty.
A bit surprised that they mainly had high top tables. Waitress wss super nice but not real impressed with the food. Likely just what we order other tables food looked much better. Then poutine was good. The catfish tacos kind of lacked flavor. The Argentina tenderloin was a bit fatty. Not much food for the price. Just the relatively on the small side steak maybe 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes with spinach on top for $32.00. Other patrons seemed to love it so maybe just not for us.
