The fair was fun and lived up to their good reputation. You can get great deals on home decor, matress, massage chairs, cars, look at llamas, goats, award-winning roses, flowers and hand crafts. What William M doesn't like about San Diego County Fair:
This year the new management ruined the 4th of July at the Fair. Military band was cancelled. How do we honor our heroes without any military presence? Marvel heroes AREN'T REAL! Separate $10 paid admission now required to see the fireworks and the show was 12 minutes. No National Anthem to start the show. Total Disgrace. Whoever is in charge now, you've ruined a wonderful American tradition. View all feedback.
We had a great time at the 2022 san diego County fair in del mar. Monster trucks, good food, fun rides and all. We recommend getting a bundle at costco 4x adults , 40 tickets and parking ticket for 95.00, or buying ahead of time so that you may receive discounts
Always a must go during the summer months for the sights, sounds and tastes. Try the not so secret speakeasy called destination unknown for fun cocktails. The line starts right next to the “green flash” brewery with all the flamingos (opens at 3pm and you Don’t have to pay to get in and it’s Not cash only) You’ll get a wrist band and then make your way up to the top of the race track overlook. Everything is pricey but worth it for the day.
So glad the fair is back and in full swing. It was nice to see all the excitement of the fair. Food is always good and so much to choose from. Loved the flower exhibits and cruising the Halls looking at stuff. Great music and you can walk around with your alcoholic beverages now!
It was fun and expensive at County Fair. But I think it’s still worthy to check it out because it’s only once a year. We did a couple of rides and had some drinks and it was almost $150. The drinks here are really pricy, probably similar with a fancy restaurant. But you know you are also paying for the atmosphere here.By the way, if you come to visit, don’t forget to check out the art exhibit area. I’m so happy to see my little students from US Arts Education Center all won the awards, they are so talented.

Big families, get ready to spend money. Bag your water and snacks and it should save you a lot!
