I have been there a few times, we sat at the bar and had great service. I have had the prime rib, salads, and burgers. They were all very good. They have a DJ and ladies night on sat nights which was a blast. We always go there when we are up from the cities on hunting and fishing trips. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Outpost Grill:
The service at this restaurant is poor. While the food is excellent, sometimes that just isn't enough. If the service is lacking, it can really ruin the entire dining experience. The owner, Jodi, is quite rude and shows little regard for her customers. I won't be returning and will be sure to share my experience with others. Word of mouth carries significant weight. Went to the Outpost Bar Grill in Deer River, MN Friday night. I�ve kinda wanted to go there since they opened. It�s a big log building and looks nice from the outside. Haven�t heard a lot about it, either good or bad. So finally the opportunity presented itself (Friday the 13th February).
Wow! The Outpost Bar and Grill in Deer River, MN has new owners. We have been patrons since their opening, but we've never experienced such rude service from the management as we did on May 30, 2011. It's important to remember that customers are not an inconvenience to their work; rather, customers are their work.
I've dined at several places and have consistently enjoyed excellent service and delicious meals. The interior is absolutely beautiful, and the prices are reasonable considering the generous portions they offer.
