The main landing is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. It was our first time back for the summer season and it was even better than when we last visited in autumn. In all my 57 years, I have never had a better steak. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, with roasted Brussels sprouts and green beans. The dinner was accompanied by a delicious garlic dressing. We recently went out for a meal at this restaurant. I wasn't very hungry, so I opted for the lobster bisque, which sounded excellent on the menu. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The bisque only had a small amount of lobster and it didn't taste very good. My husband had a sandwich and he thought it was good. I may give this place another chance as it has a cozy atmosphere and I would like to enjoy it more. View all feedback.
Excellent eating. I am European, so that the style and taste (and the Greek salate I am of Greek inheritance) were excellent to be busier.
I tried landing and main over the weekend. The place kinda has an identity issue. It can't really figure out what it wants to be. They offer a little bit of everything from 38 dollar steaks to hamburger to pasta, seafood. Kinda all over the place. Paper napkins kinda disappointing. Small bar, tight parking lot, low ceilings. It's worth a shot if your I'm the area, I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. If you want a place that gives a more wow factor with a beautiful outside, high ceilings, large bar check out scotch plains in essex.

We arrived at 3:30 after a ride on the (awesome) Essex train. The place had 1 occupied table. Our food took an hour to prepare(nachos, quesadilla, salad, and a burger). The food wasn't great and with our drinks and 3 soups the total was $112. Save your money for someplace else.
Great drinks, but food was not good. We will not be coming back. They were out of the buttermilk chicken dish, and then they ran out of bacon for the burger I ordered. We tried the nachos but they were amateurish. The lobster bisque was good but did not redeem the meal. If the drinks were not good it would have been 2 stars.
