Great food and an upscale ambiance. It's quiet enough to have a conversation, even on a Saturday night. The bartender is excellent—order something special and let him craft it his way.
My friends love the place, it's their favorite restaurant. I thought the food was better. Buffalo Cauliflower New England fish and chips I die to know what makes it a New England version, waitress could not answer. Lol. Salad beet on Arugula, Feta and Pistachios. If the beet had preferred, which were either roasted or marinated, and more of them.(Non Taste) Cheese Penne looked really good, baked nice crusty Vege Burger looked good from Fleischburger looked really good We were there in a musical night. The band was good, but as expected it was a little hard to talkParking: street parking is free at night in a lot on the street
I will not be returning to Oscars. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer- those were fine. For my entree, I ordered the fried pork which was basically inedible. It was like eating rubber and had the flavor of eating bread crumbs. Also, it had no sauce, so it was as dry as eating a mouthful of breadcrumbs. My wife ordered the fettuccini with shrimp which tasted exactly like a Knorr pasta side (those packets that you buy at the grocery store for two dollars). For two dollars- i'd be happy, for $28, I was pretty upset. On top of all of that, our waitress took forever to bring us the check. I had to waive her down while she was eating at the expo line. I wanted to complain while I was there, but my family convinced me not to. I feel bad writing such a negative review but also feel like people should know that they could have a similar experience.
Would give 0 stars if allowed. The food was good but the wait staff and person in charge (man behind the bar) over charged us for a meal. Here's what happened: One person in our party of 7, who is a vegetarian, was charged for fettuccine bolognesealthough she ordered fettuccine with butter. It took the waitress 3 tries to get the simple order correct. Maybe she shouldwrite down the order to get it right? First it came out as bolognese, second time came out with no sauce but meat sprinkled allover it, third time with butter as ordered. When the bill came, we were charged for the fettuccine bolognese. We asked to havethe bill changed to reflect no bolognese but the waitress and person in charge swore she ordered the bolognese (which shedidn't) and would not subtract the extra charge off the bill. The person in charge took the waitress' side on this dispute. Overa few dollars they lost 7 customers plus those we tell. We will not be coming back.
The food was cooked properly, but it didn’t taste very good. The biltong cheese plate had supermarket-bought, thin sliced cheese pieces. The burger was a beef/pork mixture that just didn’t taste very good. The bun soaked through and it becameimpossible to eat. Fried pickles were the best part of the meal.
