I had a 7/10 experience last night for a Valentine’s Day dinner. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful in regards to recommending certain dishes and checking in on us throughout the night. That said, however, after we finished our appetizers, it took about 30 minutes for our salmon tacos to come out. Our waitress was nowhere to be found during this time, and it was quite frustrating. What User doesn't like about Temazcal Tequila Cantina:
I've been to Temazcal in other locations and the food has been subpar and a little pricey for what you are getting. I decided to try to the Dedham location, but was disappointed. I got the short rib tacos and they were dry. My friend got the chicken quesadillas and the didnt even look appetizing. There are much better restaurants to get Mexican and other cuisines than Temazcal. View all feedback.
I recently visited the port and had a great time, but this restaurant was a big letdown. The server was alright, but overall it felt like an overpriced, declining Tex-mex Applebee’s. We were seated upstairs, which seemed like an afterthought as the floors and tables were messy. The staff would walk over dirty napkins and food, with brushed tortilla chips on the carpet and stairs. The food seemed subpar compared to other restaurants in the Seaport area. It was obvious that the ingredients were not fresh since when we asked for vegetarian options, we were told there was only an entrée option or a salad/appetizer. We were there for a celebration, and the guest of honor had to settle for lukewarm veggie tacos as there were no other choices. I was truly embarrassed that I had recommended this place to my friends.
Although my meal didn't come as I had ordered, it was still very enjoyable. The manager came by after I finished eating to ensure everything was satisfactory.
I made a reservation for Sunday night at this restaurant. It wasn't very crowded, but the service was lacking. We were seated quickly but had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come fill our water glasses. The server mistakenly brought us utensils we didn't need and told us our waiter would be with us soon. After 6 or 7 minutes, our waiter finally arrived to take our drink order. We gave him our full order as we were ready to eat. The chips and salsa came out first, followed by guacamole and salad. It took a while for our main course to arrive, but at least we had chips to munch on while we waited. The waiter checked on us a few times during dinner, but then disappeared for at least 15 minutes. We had to track him down through the hostess to ask for our leftovers and the bill to go. We tried to skip dessert as we were in a rush, but our appetizers were still on the table. I understand the challenges of being a waitress but this level of service was extremely disappointing. This was not the first time we experienced slow service, as our friends had similar experiences at other locations in Dedham and Natick. The food is delicious, but the inconsistent service takes away from the overall dining experience.
Have made a reservation for Sunday night. restaurant was not busy. but it was clearly understated. we sat right away, then waited for 10 minutes for someone who came by and filled our waterglasses. they thought we needed to be more intense, but we didn't. she assured us that our waiter would be over in a minute. 6 or 7 minutes later he appeared and tried to take our drink order. we gave him our full order since we were ready. chips and salsa quickly came out after that. followed by guacamole and salat. the dinner lasted one, but at least we had to hit chips. the dinner came out and our waiter stopped at 2 or 3 times while we checked in. but then we ate for at least 15 minutes and he was nowhere to find. had to go to the hostess and ask her to find him. I stole a box for the rest and our bill. try to delete the dishes (final) as we get up to go. were still on the table. I was a waitress before I try to be sympathetic. but that was an extremely bad service. it was very slow at the first time when we went, and friends had the same experience at the dedham and natick sites. that is essential, but not sure, also that makes for the service.
I was in the harbour position a baptism and really enjoyed, but this place was a great disappointment. the server was ok, but overall it felt like an overpriced, downhill, Tex-mex applebee. we sat in the upper floor and it was clearly the afterthought area because the floors and tables were scattered and the personal would simply go over dirty serviettes and eat. brushed tortilla chips in the carpet and kick. also the food categories felt less than the seaport. it was clear that the articles were not fresh, because when we asked to modify for vegetarian, we were told that the articles were prepared so that there was a Entree option or to settle for an salat or app. we were there for a celebration and the honorary had to stand for average luke warm veg tacos cuz there were no other options. I was honestly embarrassed that I had brought my friends there.
