It was a pleasant surprise to find vegan options available... read more We were warmly greeted by two friendly ladies at the bar who showed us to our reserved table for two. It was a pleasant surprise to find vegan options available at this village pub, despite most customers opting for the "scampi chips". We noticed some older guests at the table next to ours who seemed unaware of the vegan items on the menu, but we hope they enjoyed trying something new, unless they stuck with the scampi chips. My mushroom pie with chips and peas was tasty but didn't quite fill me up, so I ended up getting a vegan sandwich from the Co-op store across the road. Overall, we appreciated the efforts made to cater to plant-based diets in such a small village. (Review updated on 2022-09-04)

The staff was friendly, the food was beautifully presented and, most importantly, it tasted delicious. I will definitely be coming back and look forward to trying their evening menu next time.

I also had the sticky toffee pudding which was to die for, honestly. The staff were lovely and friendly, I hope they keep up their plant based options.
