Southern Sweets Bakery - Decatur

Edit: so I?ve had their cakes several times and fell in love with them. Drove over two hours to get a few vegan slices for my birthday. The mouse cakes were delicious but their vegan carrot cake and vegan coconut cake were so so dry. I was thrown backbecause I?m used to a nice moist cake. Paying almost $8 for a slice just to come home and not be able to eat it is heartbreaking. Idk if they had it standing for several days and it dried out or if they had overcooked the cake layers. Please makesure your cakes are fresh. I?m def gonna come back because I want to believe that it was a mistake because I know how good yourcakes can be. Best vegan cakes I have ever had. These are amazing and they have like 10 or more vegan cakes to choose from. Myfavorites are carrot and the coconut cakes.

This bakery near Dekalb Farmers Market is fantastic! The BLT sandwich was amazing, with high-quality bacon. The Lemon Blueberry cake was refreshing and vibrant, and the cream cheese icing was delicious. I also tried my friend's Red Velvet cake, and it was absolutely delicious.

The food and baked goods at this restaurant have always been outstanding, but the portions are too small for the price. After receiving a garden salad with very minimal toppings, I felt compelled to write this review. Despite the quality of the food, the portion size is not worth the cost. I spent almost $64 for breakfast, including the tip, and felt unsatisfied with the amount of food I received. While I appreciate the food at Southern Sweets, I will be looking for a place that offers better value for the price. I understand the challenges of finding good help in the current business climate and hope that improvements can be made.

My experience at Southern Sweets Bakery was wonderful. They offer a wide selection of delicious treats. We visited to pick up a cake and were thrilled to see they had Vegan options. The cake itself was delicious and I highly recommend this bakery to anyone in need of Vegan desserts.

Wonderful selection of delicious cakes and other treats. Nice atmosphere with an open invitation for you and the kids to dine in or outside in their garden dining area. You'll have fun!
