Boston Jerk Center - Decatur

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I can confidently say that I’ll be returning frequently because I’m really impressed with their concept and overall experience. It felt refreshing. They did a great job with social distancing, and everything was in order. The place was tidy, and the food was delicious, with a wide range of beverages available. As with many Caribbean restaurants, it’s best to know what you want to order before you get in line. If you’re unsure, don’t take their response to your questions personally; they’re just trying to serve the next customer, especially if there’s a long wait.

The food is always fresh and delicious! They offer a $3.99 lunch special from Monday to Friday, and the portion sizes are great for the price. However, I can't give them a full 5 stars because there is one particular woman who is consistently very rude. Aside from her attitude, the food is fantastic. For just $3.99, I enjoyed the curry chicken, which was really tasty!

On our second visit, we both opted for the lunch special, which featured Brown Stew Chicken. I had mine with steamed vegetables and plantain since I don’t eat rice, while he chose the rice and peas. Once again, it was enjoyable and priced under $5 each. The drink selection was impressive; we both had juices (I can't recall the brand) that were fantastic. I tried the ginger juice, and my partner had sorrel juice. Both were made with real ingredients, and you could really taste the authentic flavors. We look forward to returning!
