Description

Scout restaurant in Atlanta is a unique dining experience housed in the original Scottish Rite Hospital building. The space is bright, open, and welcoming, making it great for families with children. The food at Scout received mixed reviews, with some dishes being excellent while others fell short. The Bavarian pretzel and pretzel bites were particularly well-received. However, some customers had issues with overcooked and salty dishes, as well as inconsistent service. Despite these issues, many diners found the ambiance and overall experience at Scout to be enjoyable and are willing to give it another try. Live music adds to the atmosphere, making it a great spot for after-work drinks. Brunch at Scout is also popular, with dishes like Chicken Waffles receiving high praise. Overall, Scout offers a unique setting and good food options, which makes it a restaurant worth checking out.

I don’t say this lightly, but this restaurant should be shut down. Not tomorrow—yesterday. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear something’s wrong. The place smells off, the floors are sticky, and the entire vibe screams neglect. I’m honestly shocked they haven’t been nailed for health code violations yet. They absolutely should be. Let’s talk food—if you can call it that. My dish came out cold, bland, and looked like it had been assembled by someone who gave up halfway through. Others at my table had completely different versions of the same order. Which brings me to what might be the most impressive thing about this place: the only consistency here is how consistently inconsistent the service and food are. No timing, no standard, no care. The staff seemed like they were trying, but you could tell their spirits were crushed. And then it became obvious why. The owner? A complete nightmare. Watching him berate his employees in front of guests was disgusting. He acts like a tyrant in a kitchen that couldn’t produce a decent plate if it tried. The way he treats his staff is unacceptable—humiliating, loud, and honestly hard to witness. This place isn’t just bad. It’s the kind of place you warn friends never to go to. Between the unsanitary conditions, garbage food, rude ownership, and whiplash-inducing service standards, it’s a disaster from top to bottom. Shut it down. Lock the doors. And let this place go down in history as a case study in how not to run a restaurant. Personally I feel like this restaurant could be saved if the good for nothing owner either goes to anger management training or just disappears off the face of this planet. ZERO stars if i could Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

5 adults plus one infant for Sunday brunch. Celebrating my wife's birthday. Food was delicious, ambience matched expectations, street parking was a breeze, and Sonya, the server, was top-notched. Definitely will return for brunch again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Highly recommend, at least brunch so far. I'm almost certain they won't disappoint at any meal. Upon entering the restaurant, it was nice experience. The young man who greeted us was friendly and smiley and very sweet. I had a mimosa first, which wasgood. Then our server Steven came over an it was equally as pleasant. He was super nice and helpful. The manager seemed veryactive in the customer experience and even delivered our food to us. What a well oiled machine with a great staff, at least whenwe were there. I asked about cooking my poached eggs a little more and they did them perfectly. I got the eggs over my hammyand I highly recommend it. It was an awesome combination of flavors. I am always hesitant to try hollandaise sauce dishesbecause I know how iffy it can be. Definitely not disappointed. I literally ate the entire amount of food and I was so full, Iwouldn't have been able to eat more, but not overfull, meaning excellent portion size. My boyfriend got The Southern which waschorizo gravy over biscuits. He said the biscuits were great flavor even alone but he was very pleased with his meal as well. Heate all but two bites. Overall this was an awesome experience. Highly recommend. At least brunch. Prices for brunch were veryreasonable for the quality. Beats the chains and even most diners.... I believe everything is fresh which makes a HUGEdifference. Most restaurants use shortcuts like prepared foods and such instead of making homemade. I do not believe they dothis and it shows in the meal you are presented with. Oh and it's a casual experience, very comfortable. That makes me want togive it a higher rating ;

Neighborhood restaurant to grab a bite to eat. The parking was very tricky for me. My GPS said I arrived and I'm like confused. Once I visited the website to look at the photo of the building I finally found the restaurant. Free street parking or parkbehind the building in the complimentary parking lot. I met a friend here for Sunday brunch. I was greeted with a warm welcome.Sonya was our waitress and attentive. The manager stopped by our table to see if we needed anything. It was easy to make areservation which I recommend. I was not too thrilled with the brunch menu. We started with a hot shrimp dip that was just okand the shrimp were hard to find (if there even were any in it). I pieced together my meal that included smoke wood bacon, gritsand a biscuit. The grits lacked flavor; the bacon was nice and crunchy; the biscuit was fluffy. My friend devoured his hangersteak.

Scout is a gem!! I love having brunch here in this historic building. It’s beautiful ambiance make it a great place for all occasions. The patios are spacious, and give the restaurant a different feel. My family and I enjoy ordering the pretzel bitesthat every time we go, we order two! I do have to mention how delicious their regular cup of coffee is. I’ve tried severalfood items on their brunch menu and can honestly say they have something for every body. My 8YO loves their French toast(I meanhow can you NOT when they give you a good bit of challah bread?! ???? I highly recommend this place for early morning dates,family brunch, a friend meet up or just a place to wander around. It’s located on a very walkable area that is often busy.
