We stopped for lunch and returned later for some drinks. The food was excellent and the drinks were good. The only thing I would mention is that the place could use a bit of cleaning. The utensils were a bit dirty, but I suppose it is to be expected at a place that serves food and drinks. Overall, it is a great spot. View all feedback.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and good service, but the food was not worth the price. I would only come back for drinks downstairs. I suggest looking for dinner at a different place. View all feedback.
On this visit we also ate at 2 of DSC's top competitors, Jake's and Snitches and DSC wins hands down. The salmon was cooked perfectly, added au gratin potatoes, excellent soup and salad but maybe the highlight was the pheasant pasta. Over the top good. Big serving. Felt bad couldnt finish. Solid service from Troy. We almost didnt go because of sub-par dinners at the other 2 places but glad we did. We get to Deadwood about once a year and will continue to make DSC a stop.
Let’s face it, Deadwood is not the gastronomic center of the universe in South Dakota lol With that being said, DSC is about as good as it gets round here. Standard American food. The service is great, the place is as clean as an old place like this can be. The historical pictures on the wall are great if you have a minute to check them out. This is a great place to eat in Deadwood.
Absolutely amazing atmosphere and food. The wait was long, but so worth it. Our server Mike was amazing and accommodating beyond just serving us food! Be careful if you are sitting outside though, two of us got stung by wasps. No worries though, everyone was safe and cared for. The prime rib was to die for, extremely tender, juicy, and flavorful.
Loved the location decor. Very historic old setting. Wait for the table was about 20 Minutes, which wasn’t too terribly bad. All of the staff besides the bartender looked unhappy. From the person who sat us to our waiter. No one was smiling and pleasant. Our waiter was very confused, not sure if he was new or what the deal was. I saw every table that he waited on had an issue. I asked for Caesar dressing and he brought Italian , he seemed confused whenever I ordered our drinks. My husband was on the phone so I ordered 2 iced teas for us. He just couldn’t comprehend. He waited until my husband got off the phone and then asked him what he wanted to drink. We both laughed. Other than the confused waiter unhappy staff our food was excellent. We both got the buffalo ravioli and it was amazing . Well worth the price. If you can get past the staffing issues, you will be pleasantly pleased with the food.
After being brusquely turned away from the Buffalo Bodega, we were happy to take a spot at the Deadwood Social Club for dinner on our trip. The restaurant was decorated with interesting photos and western decor. Tables were well spaced, for a safe and comfortable eating experience. We were very surprised, to enjoy a high-end dining experience in such a casual setting. The cocktail list was extensive and creative, as was the dinner menu. We enjoyed buffalo, seafood, chicken and pasta--all was delicious. The service was exceptional and we enjoyed our meal, complete with dessert.
