I enjoyed a late breakfast here and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious and generously-sized chicken fried steak. It featured tender, pounded beef smothered in a rich gravy. We also added two eggs, a large portion of hash browns, and a homemade biscuit, which turned out to be more than enough for my wife and me to share (I wish we had!). My wife opted for the cinnamon French toast with bacon and a single egg. The friendly Montana service and the tasty food in a clean environment made for a fantastic experience. What more could you ask for?

I usually approach truck stop diners with low expectations, but the prices at Jasper’s are steep—even for a roadside café in Montana. My main concern, however, is that although the prices are high, the portion sizes are small. The quality of the food also leaves much to be desired. My chili, which they boast is homemade, was actually worse than the canned version I bring to work. My husband said his patty melt wasn’t very good, either. On the positive side, the staff were friendly—just as you’d expect from Montanans—and the place was very clean. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

We came here for dinner the night before, and although the servers were slammed, they were cheerful and attentive. We simply had to have the huckleberry pancake... read more We came here for dinner the night before, and although the servers were slammed, they were cheerful and attentive. We simply had to have the huckleberry pancakes here for breakfast. They were amazing! The server was great, food delicious, parking was easy. We'll be back here next time we are in the area.
