When we called ahead, we were asked to... read more I had a very disappointing first visit to MORI Sushi, especially considering we specifically planned our visit for Iftar. When we called ahead, we were asked to place our order in advance, which we did, expecting a smooth experience. However, upon arriving after a long day of fasting, we were not even provided with water until 10 minutes after Iftar time—only after repeatedly requesting it. Water should have been on the table by default, given that guests were breaking their fast. To make matters worse, our food was delayed by another 30 minutes despite placing the order ahead of time, completely defeating the purpose of pre-ordering. After waiting so long, I became concerned that something had gone wrong with our order. I went inside to speak with a manager, only to be told that no manager was available and that they would call one. The food was finally served at that point, but some items were missing. When we asked for them, the staff seemed confused, and by the time we left, no one had followed up or acknowledged the poor service. I asked to see the manager again before leaving, only to be told that he was busy. At no point did anyone seem interested in addressing our concerns or ensuring a good dining experience. Since I was unable to speak to anyone in charge, I am sharing my feedback here in the hopes that the restaurant takes it seriously. Poor service, lack of organization, and indifference toward customer experience—especially during Iftar—are unacceptable. I expected much better and was deeply disappointed.
