The Davis Beer Shoppe

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. It is a must-visit for any beer lover and definitely worth traveling a long distance for. It's surprising that there isn't another place like this anywhere else! The owner is extremely friendly, the service is top-notch, the beer selection is fantastic, and you can constantly try a variety of beers at a great price. Please consider opening a second location, perhaps in Southern California. Thank you!

I am reviewing this restaurant for the people of Alaska. We don't have anything like this back home. I'm not even sure if there is anything similar in California. The retail store has a wide variety of bottled beers to choose from. You can purchase a bottle of your choice, pay a small corkage fee, and enjoy it in the tasting room on site. The selection is carefully curated, with a good variety including Midnight Sun but not Alaskan beer. I am a bit surprised to see Panty Peeler for sale, considering Alaska breweries have a yearly production limit and California has a much larger population. But back to the point, the tasting room offers a great selection of unique and fresh beers on tap. This place is a must-visit for tourists, along with iconic attractions like Alcatraz and Disneyland. Sorry, Davis, you've been discovered.

The Beer Shoppe is without a doubt the top spot in Davis to enjoy a beer. This place is like paradise to me and I would come here every day if I could. It's Beer Shoppe all the way!

It's funny to watch patrons pass buy the beer shoppe and salivate simply over the sign. Don't be shy, come on in! Even your non drinking girlfriend (or boyfriend) who's tugging on your sleeve might find a cider on tap so you may enjoy an A+ beer.

I always visit when I'm here from the east coast. Good beer selection, knowledgeable staff, and good conversation. I always find something good to drink while I'm here and something good to take back home with me.
