On Sudwerk's large patio with screens showing the live women's World Cup match, we heard lots of enthusiasm for soccer, games, brews, and food. Their fresh salads are great and light, but many people enjoyed food from fryers, like a variety of crispy potatoes and chicken. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sudwerk Brewing Co.:
Completely new restaurant opened 2023. Beer and wine were fabulous as always, and also like before, the food was lacking.Outdoor dining is a must. Indoor conversations are barely possible when sitting side by side with someone, let alone across a table.Previous review circa 2010:Excellent wines, but the food can sometimes leave me wishing for a little better. The beer still isn't what it used to be. The new menu not that exciting. The service was good. The new layout seems to have wasted some space and kinda corporate feeling. The pretzel was good, but the chicken wings were lacking. Nothing to draw me back to what was my hang out.
The Dock is closed but the restaurant is now open with a craft cocktail bar and over 40 taps taps of the best Sudwerk beer with other local favorites.I got a helles and a bacon cheeseburger. My kid got a chimichurri steak sandwich and said it was good, staff was friendly too.Go and enjoy the Sudwerk vibes.guten appetit
Decent to very good beer, they have a whack no cash policy. Of course the employees will accept cash as a tip though. I wish I left instead of having the beer. Davis is an armpit
After an annoying day getting my driver's license renewed at the nearby DMV, I stumbled in right as they were opening. The location is a bit far from campus, which is nice if you're trying to avoid the crowd. There were lots of outdoor area for seating, beer on tap (of course), and hot dogs for sale. I would skip on the hot dogs as they were a bit pricey, and weren't very good. Even so, the 4 star rating is about the beer. I had a People's Pilsner (nice and crispy as described) and a hazy IPA. Solid beers, and would come back if I'm in the area.
Just opened Food good, beer good, but the noise levels make this place unenjoyable. With less than half the restaurant full, it's impossible to have a conversations with anyone at your table. It's one large open room with no sound deadening. It was impossible to hear what the wait staff was saying. To the owners You've got to do something to deaden the noise. I really wanted to enjoy my meal, but just couldn't. I'd hate to be eating there if the restaurant was full.
