Mt Bbq House - Davis
Mt Bbq House
Description
A recent dining experience at a local barbecue restaurant reveals a mixed bag of reviews. While some patrons rave about its unique offerings and flavorful dishes, including standout garlic-infused skewers and refreshing watermelon drinks, others express dissatisfaction with the service and cleanliness. Complaints include slow service, inaccurate orders, and unfriendly management, overshadowing the culinary delights. Despite its creative menu and inviting atmosphere, the inconsistency in service quality raises concerns. Overall, while the restaurant boasts a compelling concept and a few dedicated staff members, it struggles to provide a consistently enjoyable experience for all guests.

The food there is okay, but little expensive. A good place to have Chinese style bbq in Davis if you want to. You can also do tufting there ;
I am ready to enjoy this fantastic barbecue! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and a wide selection on their menu. It is a unique place that you won't find easily in the greater Sacramento area. It is very original and only a short distance from downtown Davis.
I suspect that many of the reviews for this restaurant are written by employees, friends, or family of the owner. In my opinion, this was the most disappointing restaurant I've been to in the city (my friends who were with me also shared this sentiment.) The service was extremely slow, the restaurant was unclean and cramped, one of the grills wasn't working, and the portions were much smaller than what was advertised on the menu (which resulted in a bill of over $50 for just a few small items). When my friend discovered that some of our orders were missing, the staff initially tried to brush it off until we insisted that they were incorrect. The owner then came out and rudely disputed our complaint. It seemed like they were just trying to squeeze as much money out of us as possible, despite the poor service. We were able to have some items removed from the bill after discussing it from the start, but after the encounter with the owner, we just wanted to leave as soon as possible. The only redeeming quality of the restaurant was our waiter, who seemed to be the only competent staff member there. I feel sorry for him having to work in such an environment. In the end, we decided to go to McDonald's, which was a much better experience. We should have gone there in the first place, but at least now we know not to return to this restaurant.
There are numerous tasty choices available at this restaurant, with a great emphasis on garlic. The enoki mushrooms in foil and small rolls are must-tries. The corn dish is outstanding, and the pork cookies are incredibly delicious. The watermelon drink adds a refreshing touch to the evening. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.
