Hikari Sushi Omakase - Davis

Omakase at hikari is the experience that every sushi lover dreams of. all fish were so fresh and perfectly prepared to highlight the aromen. sithu and zin put a lot of heart and passion in her crafts, it is really an art to observe them and to dinate with them. I went twice and it was better the second time because they always strive for perfection. Among my favourite dishes are the blue fin tuna and uni. I always try new dishes each time and learn more about the world of sushi.

We arrived early. they told us to wait for 10 minutes, then they closed the front door. it was cold outside so that my family killed time by going to the city of davis. we were in other Japanese fine dining experience. in the rule let the moats/customers come in, they receive discounted offer drinks during the waiting. when they celebrate a special occasion like birthdays. you usually get a special scream or a happy birthday writing on the dessert. we try to support companies in davis esp family in the owned. the chef explained every court, it was instructive. all seafood esp were fresh and of high quality. loved the wagyu and thunfisch. it was delicious. service was great. overall we had a great Omakase experience for a family of 4 2 teenagers .

Amazing Omakase experience! We’ve also been in for Hikari a couple of times. The sushi (all of the food, really is of exceptional quality. Service is on par with the best restaurants we’ve been to. This little gem is great to have closer to home compared to places like San Francisco, Napa, or Sacramento. (We live in Winters. I highly recommend it though, for selfish reasons, don’t want it to get too popular and then have difficulty getting in myself! Seriously though, the best sushi around!

My wife and I had a fantastic time. The food was great, especially the tuna dishes. The chef did a great job explaining all the dishes.

HiKari was amazing. I am so excited that we finally have such an awesome high end restaurant in Davis. The sushi was delicious and varied. Each bite was special as well as beautiful. They have created a warm comfortable serene setting in their tiny space. The service was attentive, thoughtful and informative. I have been to some high end Japanese restaurants in Sacramento and San Francisco and HiKari was the best. We hope to make this our New Year’s Eve tradition.
