What destressing likes about The Plough:
My husband used to live next door to The Plough 40 years ago, so we decided to visit the area and enjoy some morning walks to see the local changes. After working up an appetite, we went to The Plough for lunch with our dog. We received a warm welcome, and they were happy to accommodate our well-behaved pet. The locals were friendly and chatted around the cozy fire. The decor was inviting and made the restaurant a tr... View all feedback. What Andrea L doesn't like about The Plough:
Glad to see this pub reopened, but not a fan of the new setup. The old landlords always had local beers available so was disappointed to see the generic national choices now available on the bar. Most people seemed to be crowded around the bar with the room around the corner having 2 tables made up for dining and then the rest of the room taken up by people's dogs. read moreThe Plough has recently reopened, with some customers expressing disappointment at the new setup. Dogs are a common sight, with unclear dining areas and generic beer selections. However, others have praised the warm welcome, delicious food, and cozy atmosphere, particularly enjoying the lamb dishes, wine selection, and traditional Sunday dinners. The service is efficient, the menu offers a wide variety, and the prices are reasonable. The Plough also hosts curry nights, Sunday lunches, and Saturday Indian meals that have received rave reviews. Despite some mixed opinions, the overall consensus seems to lean towards a positive dining experience at The Plough.
