They have two daily specials, one dish is chinese. They have a variety on their menu. We usually get the special and if you aren't a big eater, you can order half the special which is great. They also have a senior's menu which is a smaller portioned meal View all feedback.
What Christine J doesn't like about Sung's Restaurant:
Food is good and it's in a perfect location. Even though most of the servers are friendly, we don't like to hear some of them swearing when they talk to eachother. We've heard that alot here. Staff should be courteous and keep their language under control in a family restaurant...there's a time and place for everything. It's up to management to discuss this with their staff. If you're looking for American Chinese food in Dauphin, check out Lee's or Hong Kong instead. Quality at either of those are much better than the food here. Whatever is used to cook the food here just leaves the feeling of a wax coating in your mouth. I realize some people like it in town, but I'd rather avoid it.
Sungs is a classic smalltown Chinese/American food joint you can find anywhere across western Canada. But what makes Sungs special are his noodles. Shanghai Noodles. Extra, EXTRA spicy for me, those noodles are delicious. Dry spicy as opposed to soaked in sauce, full of fresh vegetables and served at a portion to price ratio that all but ensures you go home with noodles for lunch and change in your pocket. Not for the weak of constitution, but a rewarding culinary adventure if you take the plunge.
Very friendly family staff! Otherwise, Chinese food is not authentic at all. The Chow my noodles were noodles for consumed soup and all other dishes had 20% meat and 80% vegetables.
Great food every time. My favourite place to eat in Dauphin
