Wie waren heute Abend in diesem schönem Hotel Restaurant zu unserem Jahrestag essen. Sehr schönes Ambiente, neu renovierte Räume in verschiedenen Themen eingerichtet. Schön eingedeckter Tisch mit Liebe hergerichtet.Nach einem Gruß aus der Küche ging es mit unseren bestellten Vorspeisen : Schweinebauch und Tom Kha Gai Suppe die sehr lecker waren weiter, wie auch die Hauptgänge die keine Wünsche offen ließen Maishähnch... Too bad, but we couldn't enjoy the terrace and the view because something too windy outside. But the interior was certainly fine, also in terms of food quality. The starter was bruschetta with some cheese, nicely divided up to share. The nets were trout (excellent with almonds) and a very large burger (a bit too much). A classic kitchen, but all very comfortable.
The family-run three-star superior Hotel Panorama in the volcanic Eifel was built in 1980 and refurbished. We booked 2 nights and felt very comfortable. I write one of the two (uniform evenings). This is about food, but I would like to say that the complete staff from reception, maids, staff of the great and modern wellness area were absolutely well trained, friendly and courteous. Great breakfast buffet. We like to come back. We were very well served and advised by a young employee. An aperitif was offered to answer questions about food well. She was happy with the thing and we were very attentive to the whole evening. The menu contains a good selection of great and resourceful dishes. It is clearly divided (appetizers, soups, main dishes with meat, with fish, vegetarian, desserts . The not too lush, but absolutely sufficient selection allows to close fresh kitchen Here again the regional is not too short. Often the origin of cheese, fish or meat is named on the map. As an aperitif we chose 2 glasses of fine wine-growing wine each at € 5, and as a wine a bottle of token Dernauer Spätburgunder Blanc de Noir from the Ahr to € 21,00. A bottle of Dauner Spudel to € 4.50. We received white bread slices with a very aromatic truffle butter. After that there was another 2nd greeting: A fine herbal cream, nicely hot served in small glass and garnished with sliced salmon. The buffet was really very tempting with many fresh leaf salads, potato salad, carrot salad.... various antipasti. 2 homemade dressings and various oils and vinegar good quality were also ready. As the main course, we chose the sea bream with chess fried shrimps, pea puree and homemade potato ravioli at € 23. The navy was perfectly juicy, the shrimps were beautifully fried aromatically. In the pea puree some whole heirs were still to be found, very beautiful. This means fresh and good spreading. Everything was very well tasted. The potato ravioli, slightly swung into butter, had a nice bite and rather restrained. For this, the dark red wine and the bright cream sauce came to a good conclusion! Very fine! 2. The main court was the medallions of the pork fillet with fresh plums and dauphine potatoes. A fine cream sauce with fresh herbs fits well with the juicy pink fried meat and the pifferlings. Unfortunately the obligatory bacon (not mentioned on the map) was also included here. We can always do so very well. Without the bacon, which, fortunately, was only contained in a subtle amount, the meat and mushroom taste would certainly have been even better appreciated. Still, it's good. We haven't come back until dessert. The desserts served at the side tables, however, looked worth a sin : Our sin consisted of 2 fine eggplants of herbal fires for digestion : I liked very well that the kitchen had a warm laugh! The good mood from the kitchen was on our plates! The ambience did not really convince us. Everything was very well maintained and clean. However, the decoration generations were also recognizable throughout the house. Without taking a cent in the hand: at least half the decoration would dispose of an improvement! Nevertheless, it was also modernized here: a beautifully cultivated conservatory and a large terrace with panoramic views over Daun. Unfortunately, in the evening the weather was not so stable to sit outside. The tables were all covered with fresh white tablecloths, candles and flowers. There was really nothing to complain about here. Although the facility has served for many years, everything is very clean and well maintained.

Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Abend war einfach hervorragend vielen Dank wir kommen gerne wieder.
Wir waren nach der Renovierung im März 2017 wieder einmal im Restaurant des Hotels. Leider hat man versäumt, sich im Wintergarten Gedanken um die Akkustik zu machen. Der Raum war mit 5 Tischen und ca 20 - 25 Personen besetzt und man verstand kaum sein Gegenüber, ohne laut zu werden. Schade - dies trübt den Gesamteindruck. Über die neue Ausstattung kann man geteilter Meinung sein, es hat viel von schwedischem Möbelhaus, was sich z.B. auch am Tisch fortsetzte, es wurde ohne Tischdecke oder Set serviert. Aber wir waren ja zum Essen hier und dies hat uns überzeugt. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar, was wir persönlich als sehr angenehm empfanden, trotzdem findet jeder aufgrund der Vielfalt etwas für seinen Geschmack. Ich hatte die Bouillabaisse, perfekt zubereitet, intensiver Geschmack und schön serviert mit Blätterteighaube. Meine Frau wählte das Vorspeisenbuffet mit Salat und Antipasti, für 5€ unschlagbar, auch wenn es durch die große Besucherzahl schon ziemlich geplündert war. Hier könnte man öfter mal nachsehen und nachlegen. Als Hauptgericht wählten wir den Rindertafelspitz mit Schnittlauch-Merrettichsoße, Preiselbeeren, Rote Bete Gemüse und Bratkartoffeln sowie die Kradenbacher Forelle mit Mandeln in Butter gebraten, Dampfkartoffeln und Salat vom Büffet. Fleisch und Fisch excellent, gut gefallen hat mir, dass die Mandeln nicht in dünnen - meist verbrannten - Plättchen daher kamen sondern in kleinen Würfeln. Die Beilagen waren ok, lediglich die Bratkartoffel waren zu labberig und die Dampfkartoffeln - nun ja, hier fehlte wesentlich der Geschmack, mit der Butter in Kombination ging es dann. Insgesamt daher nur 4 von 5 Punkten. Service aufmerksam und zurückhaltend, Weinauswahl zu sehr angemessenen Preisen!
