We ordered quite a few different plates for eleven people Each plate was done to perfection We ordered 2 deluxe seafood platter all the seafood items where quite delicious from the bowl of fish chowder to lobster shrimp etc..steak was cooked to perfection med -rare wrapped in bacon Mashed potatoes gravy and Cesar salad You have to have to come really hungry to finish that plate The service was the best we have ever had You won't be disappointed I made a reservation for 2 persons When the family found out and wanted to join in on the celebration I called up and they went out of there way to accommodate us all in a very short time I have gone her before so it wasn't a surprise for the quality of the food But the service was really good, the best I would say A job well done And I hope they reward the young man that took care of us all

I've heard a lot of buzz that Mic Mac is one of the highlights of the Dartmouth food scene, and upon entering the restaurant for lunch I had my expectations set pretty high. The staff were friendly and service was swift to accommodate our needs. The part of the restaurant where we were seated had framed photos and articles surrounding local sports, so I spent my time waiting for my order staring at them. We were also served bottomless coffee, which is welcome. I ordered the surf turf scallops with a medium rare steak and mashed potatoes and coleslaw as sides. Part of me wanted to try out the lobster surf turf since that included the entire lobster rather than the tail that's normally served, but it might've been too much for lunch. The dish came around 35 minutes after the order. The scallops were fresh and savoury, the quality you would come to expect on the East Coast. The coleslaw and salad were fine, but never really stood out. The steak was exceptionally thick, so it turned out to be more rare than medium rare. The mashed potatoes come with butter, something you'll need upon realizing you need something to offset its dryness. I did enjoy the dish overall, though for the purpose of filling me up the surf turf had a small portion size for its price. This probably goes better as a dinner meal, in hindsight. I would like to come here again if I'm ever in the area and try out some of the other seafood dishes they serve.
Great option for food in the Dartmouth area. The restaurant gets pretty busy at peak times and definitely see why. The staff is very friendly and gives good suggestions from their extensive menu. The atmosphere feels very old-school in a good way. There are lots of food options to choose from, with a lot of Nova Scotian specialties throughout the menu. Opted for the Steak and Lobster dinner with roasted potatoes on the side. The lobster was well cooked and the meat came off the shell easily for easy butter dipping. The steak was an 8 oz bacon wrapped sirloin. Not typically the biggest fan of the sirloin cut but the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and seasoned well. The side of roast potatoes were crispy and well seasoned. I can see why this place is an institution for the area and will definitely be back to try something else from the menu.
Great service, best gravy in the world. Their appetizers are great hands down the best potatoe skins. Deep fried ice cream is well done and one of my faves.
