May Garden Chinese - Dartmouth

I was in the mood for Chinese food and chose to try this restaurant for the first time. It’s quite spacious, and it seems they mostly focus on takeout rather than dine-in. The food was delicious and quite filling, and the prices were reasonable. The staff was very friendly as well. I would definitely return.

I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. Every time I’ve ordered from here, the food has been excellent. My only complaint is that it can be a bit pricey, but the quality has always been worth it!

The service here is friendly, and the decor is a blend of Chinese and Western styles. One standout feature is the impressive embossed mural of the famous Chinese painting, Qing Ming Shang He Tu, which creates a lovely ambiance that makes you feel like you're dining "by the river." Their egg rolls are among the best I've tried, and the stir-fried rice pairs perfectly with either vegetables or pork ribs. The wonton soup is a hit with my little one, leaving them with a hearty appetite and a full stomach. Overall, it's a restaurant worth visiting once or twice a month.

The food is surprisingly just mediocre. I work nearby, and it serves its purpose on days when I forget to pack a lunch. However, to be honest, I probably won't choose to eat here otherwise.

I just had lunch, and it was a huge mistake. It was the worst meal I've ever experienced. Food should be fresh, especially during the lunch hour, but it looked like it had been sitting out for a long time.
