My last visit to Ela was not a good one, … with a very rude server and long wait times. However, my friends wanted to go, so off we went. Our server was charming and friendly. A complete turnaround from my last visit. We did wait quite a while for our meals but not excessive. I had the haddock which was absolutely delicious. A redemption from last time. Friendly and courteous staff can make all the difference when re... View all feedback.
What Ronald C doesn't like about Ela Restaurant:
This restaurant had a pretty good atmosphere , but the high ceilings lead to a high interior noise level. Generous amount of black olives as a side dish. Humus and pita appetizer was good. The meal was a disappointment. The lamb was overcooked and rather tough. The vegetables were under-cooked and practically crunchy. The rice was just ordinary steamed white rice. Wine good but rather expensive. I longed for the old... View all feedback.
Absolutely Awesome!!! The staff is really nice and well informed about gluten and they can give you all information you need… the menu contains a lots of gluten free options and they are easily identified by a red dot… Food was phenomenal!!! Portion size was really big!!So far… One of the best restaurant I ever go in the city!! I can’t wait to be able to get back there!
Tonight I had the great pleasure of visiting the Dartmouth location. I had Lindsay as my server and he was excellent. This was my first time at restaurant and he happily went through the menu with me explaining what items were. I decided to go with the calamari Greek salad and I was not disappointed. some of the best calamari I've ever had. the food was fresh and delicious. my bf ordered the Haddock and it looked so good I had to try it. It was so good. the fish was fresh and cooked just right. the restaurant seemed a bit busier than expected for a Tuesday and Lindsay was able to keep everyone served. he deserves accolades.

Ela! Is quality food served in generous portions and not too expensive. The wait staff is friendly and the service was professional. I had the mousakka and it was delicious! Their salads were also great and they had a nice bottle of reasonably priced Pinot Noir to complement the meal. Though it’s off the beaten track and nowhere near any tourist spots, it’s a hidden gem that I can heartily recommend.
Had a late lunch early dinner and was delighted from the moment I walked in. Restaurant is spacious and very clean. Menu choices are plentiful and it was very hard to decide as everything looked so good. Portions are generous and you will leave stuffed. Service is amazing, super friendly staff and lovely to chat with. cant wait to come back.
