I visited this restaurant with a group of friends, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was excellent! One of my friends mentioned that the cheese and cured meats platter was the best they had ever tasted, and I completely agreed. The only downside was the limited selection of real ale. This is by far the worste place i have ever eaten! We ate here a short while ago and the food was lovely, the quality has gone down hill rapidly! Such a shame as the food used to be lovely! The beef was like eating my grandads wallet. We was asked how the food was, when we gave both the chef and waitress feedback they laughed. Great pub for Sunday roast dinner, the food definitely exceeded expectations as it is quite dated and rundown inside so first impressions weren’t great. However the food was brilliant, I had prawn cocktail for starter and roast chicken for main, everything was really flavoursome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
