They used to cook with finesse, and the dishes were... read more Unfortunately, we found that the quality of the food has declined significantly compared to previous years. They used to cook with finesse, and the dishes were both delicious and visually appealing. Sadly, little of that remains. My mixed salad consisted practically of just a few iceberg lettuce leaves – no other ingredients and no freshness. Some leaves were already slightly dried out or even rotten. The dressing was okay, but it couldn 't salvage the overall impression. The so-called crusty bread was simply thin, toasted discount store bread and bore no resemblance to the hearty, rustic bread one expects, especially when paired with a Kochkäse (a type of German cheese spread). Sadly, the other dishes at our table were also bland and carelessly prepared – a far cry from the standard we 've come to expect in recent years. The only bright spot: the drinks were decent. In addition, the service was very disorganized. One dish was completely forgotten and only served long after everyone else had finished eating. Overall, the service seemed very disorganized. We were eventually offered a replacement or compensation, which we generally appreciate. Nevertheless, the overall impression of our visit remained one of dissatisfaction and disappointment. It 's a real shame, because Daedis had long been a reliable source of good food and a pleasant experience for us. Unfortunately, it no longer lives up to that expectation.
