Golden Chef - Darlington

The delivery driver was late and drove recklessly down a dark narrow road, almost hitting my neighbor. The food arrived cold, tasteless, and overpriced. I usually don't like giving negative reviews, but this restaurant does not deserve any business. It was a terrible experience.

I won this meal and had to wait two days for delivery. It arrived late, after not coming the previous evening. The food was delicious, but I was disappointed that there was no rice served with the curry.

I placed an order at 7pm and was told it would be delivered within an hour. However, the food arrived at 8:35 and was cold. I ordered the filet steak, but it was not what I expected. It was not fillet steak, but rather chunks of brown, chewy meat that I ended up throwing away along with the rest of the £25 I spent. I suggest avoiding this restaurant.

I am really disappointed with this Chinese restaurant. It was great when it first reopened with delicious food that the village needed. However, the last few takeaways have been very average. Tonight was the final straw - the food was downright terrible. I can only describe it as slop. I will never be returning here again.

The food at Golden Chef is decent, but on the expensive side. Despite living just a few steps away, I opt for takeaway Chinese from other restaurants instead. However, the staff at Golden Chef are incredibly friendly.
