Contribute Feedback What Andres Sauer doesn't like about Trovata:
The pasta I had was closer to a chow my, shrimp were hard, dressing on salad was too cute, not enough Parmesan. Very poor, I RECO to go the road over the way to Bar Reggio View all feedback.
The food was good, as well as the service that was very fast. I have to say the pasta was fantastic, had a bosciola that was the highlight. The Payela was nice, but I was a bit disappointed in the pizzas, which were not so good as 12 months ago
Went to Trovata for lunch and the food was exceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllleenntttt as well as the service. Will definitely go back and try the rest of the menu Grief
Trovata is the real deal.. If you're after authentic Italian food this is for you. My Mrs claims this tastes like her mums cooking, but better! They've got a pretty big range of food so its great for big groups with picky eaters.
Trovata has a large range of meal options, whether it’s wood fired pizzas or regular fare Italian food. With Tiramisu being one of my favourite Italian desserts, I spotted this on Trovata’s menu and well, didn’t need much convincing to order from them. Garlic bread for starters ($5.5): No complaints here. Crusty bread with a nice coating of garlic and herbs, toasted well and served as a perfect accompaniment to the Risotto (I like to break my garlic bread and use it as a spoon to scoop the Risotto!). Italian sausage Risotto ($23.5) The ingredients were extremely fresh and the serving was very generous. Each spoonful of the Risotto had a bit of the rocket leaves, the sausage and the tomatoes. The light tomato base was subtle while the sun dried tomatoes added a bit of intensity. Rice was cooked to a perfect consistency and the overall dish was honest and uncomplicated. While the sausages were plentiful, I found the meat a bit on the milder side and could have definitely had a bit more richness. Tiramisu ($11.5) The highlight of the meal (ignoring my obvious bias) was definitely the Tiramisu. The rich mascarpone and the intense espresso complemented by that sinful vanilla-anglaise sauce, was decadent to say the very least. It’s a decent serving and can easily be shared by two unless you love Tiramisu as much as I do. I would definitely dine here again and I would highly recommend you give their desserts a go (they’re all made in house and if the Tiramisu was this good, I’m sure the others will be too).
