I just walked past Oxford street and wondering this Thai restaurant is located up the stairs. Just out of curiosity I walked up to give it a try. The food is average but value for money. The ambience is good with nice Thai song. I will recommend if you want a simple quick meal.
I have been to this restaurant several times while in Sydney. The service is fast and the food is usually very good. There is one set of steep stairs to climb and the restaurant space is small, making it necessary to maneuver through the tables. It may not be accessible for people with disabilities. The owner is moving to Canberra, so hopefully the quality of the food will remain consistent. The restaurant is popular and lively, but I find it slightly more expensive compared to other options.
The restaurant offers romantic and stunning ambiance, delicious food, and a memorable dining experience.
We visited the restaurant on a rainy summer day and we were fortunate to do so. We ordered a Som Tum, a pad Thai, and a steamed fish (can't remember the name).
Wondering around Sydney we stumbled upon this Thai restaurant. Climbed up a flight of stairs and sat near the window. Food came fairly quickly; decent, but nothing I'd write home about. Just your average big city Thai food. They don't have a liquor license, so you you can bring your own and there is a store right next door making it easy. While they mention a $2.50 corkage per person, not per bottle, they don't mention this applies to beer also. Maybe this is common in Australia, but not in the USA. Upon paying the bill, there is also a 2% surcharge for credit card which the menu doesn't explain and we were not charged at other restaurants during our stay in Sydney. Lastly, they keep menus outside so passersby like us will see the menu and some coupons attached and will come up. Once you're seated, order and show the coupons, turns out they've all expired a while ago. You're kind of stuck then. For just ok Thai food, lots of extra fees and slight deception with coupons, I'd look elsewhere
