Just came home from Balay sa Bicol. Mango Crepe was amazing! Pesto Pasta was great too. They have very impressive well-maintained vintage furniture and items which fit perfectly into the traditional Filipino house. We had a free tour of the house by the lady who happened to be the niece of the owner of the house. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Balay Sa Bikol:
it was hot and damp and too dark, especially in the first stage, eating is average, place looked better when the previous owners own and has worsened since then. View all feedback.
We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation (it was late and we were a large group), but we were warmly welcomed by the maitre d', Arnold, and his team. Their recommendations for traditional Bikol dishes were all fantastic choices, each one delicious and made with local ingredients. Be sure to try the dish made with santol! While waiting for our meal, we took a look at the art collection on display throughout the first and second floors, which we found quite fascinating.
One of the best kept restaurant in legaspi city local tasty food served them authentic birch dishes.
We came there at 8 o'clock on Friday night. the people have gone so far that we had the place to us. the place is quite old with a few reminders displayed all around. it's like you're going back in time. we ordered bicol express and grilled tuna, which lasted for 15 minutes to cook. the food was great and the thun fish tastes fresh. the personal was also very accommodating. a must try if they are in the opposite.

I recently visited Balay sa Bicol and was impressed with their Mango Crepe and Pesto Pasta. The restaurant's vintage furniture and items added to the traditional Filipino house ambiance. We even received a complimentary tour of the house given by the owner's niece.
