Reviews - The Hardcover
Reviews summary
Hardcover, a popular dining destination, offers a mixed experience for guests. While dishes like the beef Wellington impress with perfect cooking and flavor, the consistency across the menu falters. Waitstaff are generally friendly, though service can be slow during peak times. The atmosphere, cozy yet cramped, suffers from outdated decor, creating a somewhat noisy setting. The salad bar, while fresh, could benefit from a more creative approach. Guests appreciate the quality of the main courses but express disappointment with side offerings and bar service. Overall, Hardcover is worth a visit, albeit with tempered expectations.

This is a fantastic place to eat and relax. The service is outstanding, and the food is excellent.
Unfortunately, made reservations for 2 o’clock didn’t get seated till 240 Expect long. Wait if you make reservations.
As for parking, there’s plenty available. The restaurant is also kid-friendly and fully wheelchair accessible.
This restaurant is amazing! The atmosphere is lovely, and the salad bar is exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is fantastic. Plus, if you visit on your birthday, your dinner is half price - you can't beat that! It's a wonderful place to dine.
We had my sisters bridal shower here this past weekend. Andy and his team made sure everything went smoothly from the planning to the actual day. The service , price , function space and food were all great (especially the scones ! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who’s looking to host a party/function.

Jack and I went to Hardcover to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary and the dinner was great. We had a wonderful time. I would recommend the restaurant. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
It's good, don't get me wrong but this place is too fancy for me. The bill was a lot more expensive than I thought it would be. I'd be just as happy throwing a couple of stakes on my own grill. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
While the hardcover has some nice dishes, it lacks the basic consistency that would make it a solid 4 star restaurant. Firstly, service was good- our waiter was nice and prompt, and the staff seemed friendly. The location itself inside the restaurant is a bit cramped but cozy. Its definitely loud inside at busy times. The salad bar and bread in my opinion are underwhelming for a restaurant of this price range. While the self serve style is in theory a nice idea, it reminded me a lot of the corner of my college dining hall (nothing against salad bars, I just think they could do something more with it). I wish the bread was warmer or toasted or something. The beef Wellington was very good. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, flavorful and perfectly sized. For people specifically looking for a wellington I would recommend this place. The teriyaki steak is also good. Sadly, while the baked chicken was good, the linguini served it had too much pasta and too little sauce. This made it a chore to eat (though the asparagus and mushroom paired well). The salmon was sort of bland-i’d like to say good meat will stand on its own but it appeared to be “seasoned with air”. Not tragic but not inspiring. The baked haddock was nice. I understand the value of simplicity but the boiled vegetables and baked potatoes weren’t really doing it for me at this price of restaurant. I understand this isnt quite fine dining, but I would expect some more consistency and refinement for this type of restaurant. I was happy about the beef wellington though!

During the busy Christmas season, the restaurant was packed with customers. While the service staff were kind, they were overwhelmed with the crowds, resulting in slow service at our table. Initially...
The bar service at this restaurant is terrible. If you don't mind waiting 10 minutes or more just to make eye contact with the bartender, only to be ignored, then this is the place for you.
