My wife... read more I had a wonderful experience enjoying authentic Garifuna cuisine at this restaurant. It was my first time trying hudut, and it was absolutely fantastic. My wife loved her fried fish, which she requested be served with the head on. We also sampled the fried plantains with cheese as an appetizer, and they were delicious and freshly made. I overheard a kind, softly spoken older gentleman serving us tell a group of regular expats that he had caught the fish himself earlier that day. Just a tip: this place isn’t for those in a hurry, as everything is cooked to order. However, that means you get fresh food, and I would choose that any day!

They do not cook it, probably because of the lack of storage at proper temperatures, but it was worth waiting. We would often order from 2 places and plan the trip strategically and who wanted to wait there.
