What Kiyomi K doesn't like about Truedan Skyline:
It's not as crowded as when they first opened. When we entered the shop, there wasn't a single worker there at the front. Easy to order with the tablet since they don't have big menus like some other boba shops. First time ordering the black tea with buckwheat, and I would say I had better else where. I truly believe their signature boba drink is better. View all feedback.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Truden in Skyline for catering, and I must say, the experience was truly delightful. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure that everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. But what really impressed me were the drinks. Every single one was delicious and expertly crafted. I particularly enjoyed the mojitos, which were refreshing and perfectly balanced. It is with great sadness that I learned that Truden in Skyline has closed. However, I am hopeful that they will open another location in Daly City soon. In the meantime, I will have to make the trek out to their Westlake location for my Trueden fix.I highly recommend Trueden in Skyline for anyone looking for a great drink and a friendly atmosphere. It's a shame to see them go, but I look forward to their return in the near future.
I was in total need of a caffeine fix while running errands around. I stopped by a Ranch 99 and on my way out of the parking lot I noticed TrueDan. I saw on Yelp they had a location on Westlake that I was about to go try but ended up around this area instead. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had one where I was already at so I thought it was meant to be. I pulled my car over and parked and went right in. The place looked nice and clean inside with a few tables and benches to sit and chill. There was only 3 people not the store one waiting for their order, one lady at the ordering kiosk. The lady at the ordering kiosk was taking for ever! She kept going back and forth between tipping and not tipping so I was starting to get frustrated. One of the people that worked there was at front from giving someone else an order so I came up and asked if I could just order with him. It was a much faster process and it alleviated my frustration. (Did I mention I really needed caffeine? Lol! I ordered Black Tea Latte with Crema and boba. I ordered less ice and zero sugar. I got my order fairly quickly after ordering which was nice. I saw that there was brown sugar from the boba so that kinda defeated the purpose of getting 0 sweetness but whatever it was delicious and nostalgic for me. The boba was alright the boba was hard in the middle but still edible for me. The tea itself was good and also liked the crema. The low star review comes from the terrible straws they have. The straws alone ruined the whole experience for me. I shook up my drink before poking in my straw. It still needed some more mixing after having the straw in which is usual for tea with crema and in general I like to stir the boba around while I drink. Well, just about after 5 mins of drinking I stopped being able to suck from the straw because there was a rip/hole from me mixing my drink. So I couldn't drink my boba anymore and I was only 1/5th into this drink. Damn near ruined my afternoon lol! So I decided, I'll just flip the straw upside down. I did that and the stuff in the straw spilled all over my car whatever I guess somewhat my fault and so I drank with the straw upside down and that side too broke within like 10 mins. Soo frustrating. It was enough to ruin the experience. Just because of the faulty straws, I don't think I'll be coming back to this place I don't wanna risk it unless I bring my own straw.

Another go to drink spot when I want a more refreshing option. I love their mango coconut ice Jasmine tea latte with taro! Tip: download Snackpass to get a buy one get one free deal!
Truedan never fails to impress and satisfy my boba fix. I first heard of this brand through their popular ice cream bars found at Asian grocery stores. The ambiance is cute and the brown wall fixtures matches with their menu items. My drink's aesthetics matches with my expectations of an ideal brown sugar boba drink. While there are 2 self-order kiosks towards the front of the store, you may also order at the cashier. I ordered their signature A1 brown sugar boba drink with Oat Milk. I opted to keep the sugar level at 50% with less ice. Despite the busy influx of orders, my drink was ready within 5 minutes. Upon receiving my order, the boba was freshly cooked and I could feel its warmth at the bottom of my drink. Even at 50% sweetness, the brown sugar flavor and streaks are still retained. Truedan is truly authentic and delicious.
