I live nearby and opted for pickup. My order was hot, ready on time, and I was greeted with a smile! I tried the Wok Star Hot Huh, which was very tasty, but not as spicy as I expected. Don't let the red pepper fool you; the spiciness in this dish is quite mild. To Wok Star: when someone asks for "hot chicken," they are ready for something spicy! Don’t hold back! What User doesn't like about Wok Star Chinese:
I met a friend for lunch to try the dumplings at this restaurant. The ambiance is bright, but it's quite loud, making it hard to chat or catch up. We ordered the mixed combo noodles, which included two chicken, two pork, and two nice dumplings, but I hate to say they were just okay—kind of gummy with a flavor that was mostly sweet. The hot and acidic flavors were good, but the crispy noodle side wasn’t fresh. Naturally, we compared everything to our favorite place, Royal China, where we enjoyed the combo lo mein and moo shu pork, both of which were excellent. The service was friendly but hectic. I’m giving a rating of three due to the lack of a pleasant dining atmosphere and the excessively loud music.
"We had a lovely and simple lunch here, but I'm looking forward to when they open in Plano. Unfortunately, the food was below average. The only redeeming quality was the charming decor, but I came to eat, not take photos. If you're after the best hand-pulled noodles, I recommend visiting The Taste of Peeking in Plano instead. Charlie is no longer here, which seems to have affected the quality."

A little more seasoning could take it from a 7 to a full 10. I was also slightly disappointed that the fried rice I paid extra for didn’t have any eggs. It’s fresh and of good quality, definitely not your typical Chinese food. I’ll definitely be back soon, as I can’t wait to try more of their dishes or maybe sample something from their very tempting cocktail menu. That could be a new favorite!
It was my first time a xiao bao and it was delicious. there were six pieces and I wish I had ordered more! I tried the spicy tofu and my friend had the Jalapeño chicken that was really good. I really liked the ambiente and the decorations they were a beautiful note. our waitress and the staff were very friendly and answered all our asking
Definitely curbed my Chinese food craving, since we don't have much variety around North Dallas. However, the portions were small and wow it comes with a steep price tag.
