Wai Wai Kitchen - Dallas

This place on Lemmon is seriously underrated! I had my first experience there and it was fantastic. I do wish they offered more gyoza with the appetizer, but the portion size for the entree definitely made up for it. The food was served hot and fresh, and I was salivating just from the aroma! The spice level was spot on, allowing me to enjoy the meal without any discomfort afterward. Our server was friendly, even though we arrived just an hour before closing. The restaurant is quite spacious, and the tables can be rearranged, making it perfect for larger groups who want to sit together!

The food is delicious, but the portion sizes are small for the price. I'm familiar with this place and remember when they used to serve a curry that was twice the size of what they offer now. The flavors are great, but I wish they would provide larger portions.

The food was disappointing. I ordered the orange chicken chef special, and both the rice and the chicken lacked any flavor beyond orange. The mango sticky rice was decent, but I'd recommend saving your money and going to Ho Mei Express instead. Their portions are generous, and the food is really flavorful and saucy. They also offer sauces and soy sauce for you to use. I won't be returning to this place again.

I think this place is very underrated. I've been here several times and really like food here, especially the papaya salad they give you a lot of papaya. I also like the curry, and thai fried rice. I noticed the last 2 times I was here, there was a bleach cleaning product smell to the place (hope they change this because the smell is distracting when you're eating).

Not sure why they get less than four stars. Great food. Atmosphere is descent but not date night material. Prices are reasonable . Staff is friendly. Good place.
