Tupinamba Cafe - Dallas

I've been following Tupy's around town going back to the old Northwest Hwy. location. It's the best in town. Make sure whatever you order comes with a Tupy Taco.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants when craving Tex Mex. IMHO they have some of the best steak chicken nachos. The nachos are fully loaded, the steak and chicken are so flavorable tender. We also love the fajitas, Pechuga De Pollo, their puffy tacos.

I have been coming here since I was a little girl with my Dad. Him and the owner used to talk a lot while I just listened. The food now is just as delicious as it was back then, just a little hotter than I remembered. I took my husband from Georgia and my daughter who have never been there for the first time and we all loved it

A very good place to get plenty of food that tastes amazing. The Mexican cuisine they make is some of the best I've had.

Saw someone posted that Tupinamba Cafe had puffy tacos like what San Antonio is famous for…..couldn’t find any pictures of their “Puffy” Taco. Well if you’re looking for a puffy taco like Rays Drive Inn or Henry’s Puffy tacos you’ll have to go to San Antonio to get it. The Tupinamba version is more like a taco salad. Little disappointing. It was good but not a San Antonio puffy taco. Also got the Rudy’s plate and beef fajita quesadilla. The quesadillas were great but I guess Rudy didn’t like rice and beans because the Rudy’s plate didn’t come with them. Had to order them separately. Go figure. Service was great atmosphere was great but totally disappointed with the puffy taco.
