I was absolutely blown away by my dining experience here yesterday. I have never had better Japanese cuisine in my life. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. As a big anime fan, I was thrilled to try dishes I had never heard of before. I will definitely be a regular at this restaurant and... View all feedback.
What Allison Davis doesn't like about Tei-an:
Food was mediocre, we tried the omakase. The only thing I would recommend is the tuna tartare and their dessert. The white seaweed was really oily and the soba too heavy. Not worth the price. View all feedback.
Tei-an is wonderfully delicious! They keep things simple/ authentic and I really enjoy every bite! The staff is attentive and great with suggestions if you're not sure what to order. Last time I sat at the bar and couldn't hear the waitress and accidentally ordered $60 tuna sashimi- I was a little surprised when I got the bill but it was really tasty. Be sure to open your ears when ordering at the sushi bar, it can be a little loud and difficult to hear
This place had amazing quality sashimi. I usually don't eat various types of sashimi due to the fishy taste, however, this place tasted fresh and the pieces just melted in my mouth. The Soba Sampler, I highly recommend! The noodle texture was amazing and so were each of the dipping sauces. They gave us complimentary California rolls as well! Later, they came out with Soba tea and poured it into the leftover sauces to enjoy as a drink. I didn't know you could do that but it tasted so good! The waitress was super accommodating towards my nephew and brought some rice and soup for him to enjoy. If you're willing to splurge on quality fish, this is the place!
Delicious omakase experience well worth the price. Would definitely recommend to make the reservations ahead of time and expect a extraordinary meal.
I ordered for to go so I didn't order the noodle. This is the first noodle bar in Dallas. The owner is a Japanese. I would definitely order the soba once I come back to dine-in. They should put the sauce on the side to keep the fish fresh for to go. Food: good quality but I was expecting something more creative, flavorful, and artistic with this type of restaurant. It's definitely authentic. I don't recommend crab shitake Chawanmushi. (1st time) Price: around 184 after tax for my order. There are private bar and lounge only for members (high-portfolio individuals, invited only) I will definitely come back Servers: beautiful and nice people no Dress-code but wear something presentable.
Went for an anniversary/birthday dinner last month and it was delicious! The white seaweed salad is amazing (as well as everything else). Everything was nice and clean, nice servers, some a bit too quiet for me to hear. Ambiance on point. It was nice of them to show authenticity of the wagyu, but I could have done without it probably. I would definitely recommend eating here at least once for the experience. But several more times for the food .
