First time visiting Trinity Groves and enjoyed dinner at Sum Dang Good Chinese. I didn't get a picture of my spicy fried beef, but it was delicious! We also enjoyed the Ants Climbing Trees dish and Hot Tea. The waiter was friendly and attentive. We had a great time and really loved the good. By the way, you can share these portions! The soup dumplings are very popular and for good reason. They were very good! Food was very flavorful and good. Service was excellent. My only complaint is the wobbly table was sat at that continually tilted. At first I thought the maos pork was going to be my favorite, with it's huge chunks of pork belly and garlic, but then the Mongolian beef had such good flavor it was hard to pick. We finished with the fortune cookie cheesecake, which I thought was going to be just cheesecake with crushed fortune cookies on top. It wasn't. It has a fortune cookie crust you could taste, a delicious strawberry puree, huge chunks of cookie all over, and whipped cream on top.
Plenty of parking by the restaurant. There are several restaurants in the shopping plaza however, most were closed when we went during brunch time. I guess this area is more for happy hour/ dinner. We originally wanted to sample different restaurants so ordered only appetizers. Drinks were on point. Tasted delicious and a good amount of alcohol. Xiao Long Bao aka soupy dumplings: not as soupy compared to others and still a bit larger than what I would prefer. It should be one bite size imo. The filling was pretty tasty. But wished the dipping sauce had some ginger instead of it being in the filling itself. Chicken Egg Rolls: nice and crispy, very flavorful. Scallion Pancakes: light and crisp. Was pleasantly surprised. Just wished each order came with more! Chicken Lettuce Wrap: flavorful just the filling is a bit salty, but wrapped in the lettuce it was perfect. Service was a bit lackluster, but maybe he was just having an off day. A dish we ordered was forgotten :
Went here about 2 hours before closing this past Friday 2/12/22 with 3 friends and we were seated quickly. The atmosphere and music was fresh, hip, and you can dress very casual or a little nicer if it?s a date or special occasion. The food was great, not overpriced, large portions, and came out fast! We shared the combo dumplings for the table and for my dinner I added beef to the Szechuan string beans which a lot of restaurants don?t usually do or charge a lot to mix because they consider it two entrees. But they were able to accommodate for just an up charge. It was delicious! Service was good and the drinks were pretty. I?ll definitely recommend to everyone and have to come back next time I?m in Dallas.

Came here on St. Patrick?s day with my best friend! We each ordered drinks, she had a green dragon and i had the lychee tea. My drink was so strong per the menu but tasted amazing (dangerous lol) and her drink was surprisingly yummy to me. we got edamame and it was really good. i?m plant-based and was so happy to see all of their vegan and vegetarian options. the ma po tofu was so yummy and a great portion for the price! I was able to walk away with leftovers. Our server Dre was super attentive but I could tell they were supper busy. Glad to see this place is doing well, I plan on coming back!
