In 22 years I’ve never heard back husband say a burger might be too big to eat! ?Husband had a double, son had patty melt and I had chicken tenders. All was perfect!
The burgers are fantastic, and the salads are just as impressive! My family and I really enjoy the food. We're sad to see the building is being demolished, presumably because of the recent fire.
This is our favorite place to eat. The food is outstanding. I love everything on the menu and have visited many times. I really hope it opens again soon!
This is one of my favorite spots because it's very relaxed and the food is excellent. I always get the patty melt.
When I go to Dallas Tx to visit my daughter Jacqueline and her husband Jordan they always take me to STACKHOUSE. I never had soup till I had Demetrius home made tomato and ovalemenum<sp> soups. I will be in Dallas for another visit next month and am said to find out that the restaurant is closed to a fire. When it reopens I will be back there to enjoy the food, atmosphere, and the people that work there. YAHSU Demetrius!

Hey everybody I just want to let you know about a burger place that we like to frequent called Stackhouse. It’s down kind of over in old East Dallas not far from Baylor Hospital off Gaston Avenue, the address is 2917 Gaston Ave. we’ve been going there for several years and it’s always been spot on. It’s not a huge place and there’s not a lot of parking but you can park in back and on the street behind it and it’s worth it. Once you get inside you’ll see it will accommodate probably about 30-35 people inside, and they’ve got a few two people tables that run along the wall with places to sit by the window. There are a couple, probably about seven or eight barstools at the bar and then some tables up front there’s also seating on the outside patio and they have an upstairs patio deck that you can sit at. The selection is perfect going from single burgers to triple burgers. They are fresh and made to order. I ordered the single cheeseburger medium with pepper jack cheese, bacon and grilled jalapeños and as you can see from the picture it was spot on cooked to order and it was juicy it was tasty. Everything about Stackhouse is good, and they’ve got a great beer selection along with wine or your favorite liquor whatever that may be. The fried mushrooms are great, the onion rings and fries are hot and crispy. They have multiple TVs set up around the place so you can catch whatever game is going on. Its laid back and not pretentious at all, very easy and friendly, a really good place to go. So if you’re down around that area and you wanna great burger it’s never let us down. Go to Stackhouse and you will leave full, satisfied and content and you’ll be glad you did. Y’all take care now.
Great burgers! We went about 2pm and a Tuesday afternoon and the place was pretty quiet. I had a burger with bacon and grilled onions. Bacon was great, extra mound of gouda, and enough grilled onions for 5 burgers. I also has sweet potato fries and they were good. My teenager had a regular burger with just American cheese and pickles with original fries. Also very good. With 2 soft drinks, our meal was $40. Good, simple, fresh food. Next time, I want to try the Mac n cheese, it looked great!
I came in because i was waiting for My moms at the Dentist School across the street!! I was totally blown away! Dimitri is a wonderful Host! A genuine Gentleman! They have Amazing Food, great service and delicious beverages as well
I love this place! my family and I have been coming here for a few years. I recommend everything on the menu lol. we love the suppen mainly the chicken soup and brokkoli and cheddar. Recently I had the cajun salmon sandwich so crazy awesome. do not fit this place high. the personal is so welcoming, always in good mood.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing, featuring scrumptious burgers that are hard to resist. They boast an excellent variety of beers, and the staff are incredibly helpful and accommodating. I was thrilled to find my favorite fries on the menu as well! Every dish was packed with flavor, and the outdoor terrace is delightful. There's also a cozy second-floor terrace that offers a lovely view of the city center. The staff went above and beyond by turning on the heaters upstairs and setting up the TV for guests. I can't recommend this place enough!

This restaurant has quickly become one of my partner's and my favorites. The food is exceptional, and the service is quite friendly. Whether you decide to take your meal to go or enjoy it in-house, the food is incredible in either setting.
A hidden gem of a small eatery with an eclectic menu, offering both indoor and outdoor dining as well as rooftop tables and craft beers... what’s not to love?

This restaurant may not be large, and parking can be somewhat limited, but there is street parking available behind it, making the visit truly worthwhile. Once you walk in, you'll find space for about 30-35 patrons, with a few cozy two-person tables along the walls and some by the window. The bar area includes seven or eight stools, alongside additional tables near the front. There's also outdoor seating on a patio and an upper deck. The burger menu is excellent, offering everything from single to triple patties, all made fresh to order. I opted for the single cheeseburger cooked medium with pepper jack cheese, bacon, and grilled jalapeños, and it was perfectly cooked—juicy and delectable, as you can see in my photo. Everything at Stackhouse is top-notch, including an impressive selection of beers, as well as wines and various spirits. The fried mushrooms are fantastic, and the onion rings and fries are consistently served hot and crispy. The space is equipped with several TVs, so you can enjoy any sports event happening at the time. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming—definitely not pretentious. It’s a great spot to unwind. If you find yourself in the area and are craving an amazing burger, Stackhouse has never let us down. You'll leave feeling full, satisfied, and glad you chose to dine there. Take care, everyone!
The burgers at this restaurant are exceptional. They're juicy, flavorful, and cooked just the way you like them, with fresh vegetables. My brother ordered the Philly cheesesteak and enjoyed it as well. The fries were served hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and provided prompt service. There is parking available in the back, along with street parking behind the restaurant. You can also enjoy patio seating on the side and an upstairs porch. If you’re in the Deep Ellum area and in the mood for an amazing burger, make sure to pay a visit!
Wonderful burgers! We stopped by around 2 PM on a Tuesday, and the restaurant had a nice, relaxed vibe. I ordered a burger topped with bacon and grilled onions. The bacon was mouthwatering, there was a generous portion of gouda, and the grilled onions — there were enough for at least five burgers! I also enjoyed the sweet potato fries, which were delicious. My teenager opted for a classic burger with just American cheese and pickles, along with regular fries, and it was great as well. Our total bill, including two soft drinks, came to $40. Overall, the food was simple, fresh, and very satisfying. Next time, I definitely want to try the macaroni and cheese; it looked incredible!
Overall, a very solid burger. Juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned, I was impressed by how moist the patty was even without any condiments. It's a more traditional style burger, not the thin fast-food type. Unless you’re extremely hungry, stick to a single—you can even share the fries. Portions are generous, and the staff is friendly. The only downside is the price (understandable as everyone needs to make a living), but two burgers (with cheese and an extra topping), two fries, and two drinks plus tip came close to $50. Still, I highly recommend checking out this staple.
I absolutely love Stack House! My family and I have been visiting for a few years now, and I can honestly recommend everything on their menu. We especially enjoy the soups, with the chicken noodle and broccoli cheddar being our favorites. Recently, I tried the Cajun salmon sandwich, and it was incredibly delicious. Don’t miss out on this place—the staff is always friendly and upbeat, making every visit enjoyable.
