Recently I went to Rodneys with Afrind, who walked all the time and I was happy surprised. I wasn't a HUGE fan of bbqso i relieved to see her so much more. I had a chicken Philly with mushrooms paprika and onions w/ pommes. My word was the best Id eaten in years!! Try her hummade ranch. You'll think twice about the bought ranch. Not to mention the Serbs are beautiful and super funny and charming. You feel like home.... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rodney's -b-que And Catering:
food is decent, sometimes good but usually pretty average. Its conveniently located so we keep going back but every time the service is extremely slow and we spend way more time sitting than we do eating, which shouldn't be the case at a BBQ joint where all the meats are prepared in advance. They do have great cakes but usually after waiting an hour to eat BBQ I'm too ready to go and I skip it. View all feedback.
Good solid BBQ. Nice, delicate, good cuts of chopped pork not much fat and no secret. Good service and fun atmosphere a few antiques and signs from the local New Hope community. Slav was fine, Brunswick Stew was good, but not exceptional. I like her sweet sauce, but you have to ask. The sauce on the table is more of the vinegar mustard variety. We also liked the Texas Toast (comes with the BBQ plates), fried catfish and hush puppies. Sweet tea was right.
My daughter 's 13th Birthday Family Dinner. I just want to thank the wonderful individuals that work at Rodney 's BBQ. I called a couple weeks before my daughter 's 13th birthday to make arrangements for a family dinner and the kind lady on the phone reserved the back room. Our waitress was fantastic!! She kept our drinks filled, served each person in the party what they ordered, and went above and beyond to make our dinner enjoyable. Thanks again Rodney 's for the excellent experience and delicious food! Oh, by the way...my brother won a t-shirt for finishing the hot wing challenge in less than 10 minute...WOOT WOOT!!
BBQ and Steaks at their finest!. I have been eating at Rodney's BBQ since it opened more than two years ago. I am not sure which I like better, the terrific food or the friendly service. Rodney's offers a broad range of food for a neighborhood restaurant. Everything from smoked pork and succulent beef brisket, to cajun grilled catfish and steak that puts the big chains to shame. With excellent sides like old-fashioned brunswick stew and huge ears of boiled corn-on-the-cobb, one has enough dinner options to allow a new dining experience everyday. Rodney's also offers the kind of eggs and biscuit breakfast you crave from your childhood, and a daily lunch special straight from Aunt Bea's kitchen. Did I mention the sweet tea? Every Southern establishment worth its salt has to have great desserts, and Rodney's is no exception. Whether you prefer home-made German Chocolate or traditional Red Velvet, juicy Coconut or cookie-rific Oreo, Rodney's has the cake you want. Don't forget to ask about their specialty desserts, either. If it's a family oriented local eatery you are looking for, give Rodney's BBQ a try. You'll feel right at home.
Very competitve between this and the Hickory Hut for best BBQ in Dallas. Fried Green Tomtoes probably put Rodney's out front overall
I've been here since 2015 when I got pregnant, they beat the pregnancy search every time!! Also rented their room for my baby shower, which was super affordable as long as you bought food from them the room was yours. Everyone was always super nice and food is always right and hot! Melissa is one of my favorite waiters there! By far one of the best BBQ house is there! I and friends meet here all the time!
