What User doesn't like about Nuevo Leon Mex-mex:
We waited a long time for everything! We were informed that they were busy, but the situation was quite disorganized. It seemed like there weren't enough kitchen staff to handle the volume of orders. View all feedback.
Muy Delicioso! I love the vibe and the owner is a sweet lady. I had the Puntas Rancheras and man it was wonderful. Fresh ingredients. Good quality meat. The taste on the sauce was excellent. Very authentic. Take me back to Mexico City. The decor is beautiful. Service is responsive. They live on Zagat. Will definitely eat again there.
Great food and great price. This is not your usual Tex Mexican restaurant. The food and service are several steps on the ladder of other nearby restaurants. We eat here regularly. Try it and you will be back.
Exceptional dishes. This restaurant is not your typical Mexican restaurant. Although I think it has some of your more common dishes such as Tacos and Enchiladas most of their food is unique, rich and exotic. Our entrees were more like something you'd get in an expensive and trendy restaurant, and they were tasteful and simply really good freaked out. On a side note I had the ceviche that was just OK, but everything else we had ordered was extraordinary. We regularly go to this place.
I'll blow you away. This inconceivable hole in the wall at the corner of Josey and Valley View in Farmers Branch is not where you expect to find the best Mexican food you have ever eaten, but here you will find FINE genuine Mexican cuisine. That's Mex Mex not Tex Mex and twice I came out and said I just had the best meal I ever had. Better than spicy, though some of them can be. Weekends there are live flamingco harp... the owner is the former waitress who bought the place and updated the food. If you like mexican and want tastes that you never know, what are you waiting for? What a gem that is!
Authentic Mexico City Fine Dining. Several layers above most Mexican food in DFW. Of course they have typical favorite like Enchilada and Quesadillas. Take time to explore the menu and taste their unique dishes and sauces. They have a section explaining the many Chile Peppers they uses. Some aren't the least bit hot, just flavorful. As one example, Ladrillo is steak layered with ham and cheese, plus special sauce. Last Neuvo Leon cafe was part of Arcadia fire, years ago. Also had cafe at Oak Lawn Cedar Springs. New incarnation has those old favorite recipes and more. Cozy spot, with same level of fine service.
