What User doesn't like about Muchacho:
Every frozen drink we tried ordering, theater told us they did not have a blender. Not sure how this place could not have a blender. We sat there for a good while before someone brought us chips/salsa, another while before he brought our drinks, then another good while before we asked him for a menu and he then tells us we had to go on line to view menu. Just seemed a little unorganized or maybe it was just our waite... View all feedback.
One of the best steak fajitas I have ever had. I have also tried the shrimp and fish tacos and everything is spectacular. The wait staff there is amazing as well! A true gem of Tex-Mex food in Dallas.
We've gone to this restaurant several times, and it is always consistently good. Which seafood taco he recommended, and he recommended the redfish taco. Run. Run don't walk. Probably One of the best tacos I've ever had! The blood orange margaritas are to die for. And the tres leches cake that is not on their menu was forkin My brother should only be g good?
I had the sreak tacos, they were pretty good. The steak was medium well cooked to perfection. The tacos were small however and lacking a little in flavor. The guacamole side we has was also weak in flavor. Perhaps catering to a crowd that does nit appreciate spicy or hot flavos.
The ambiance: The place has a pleasant atmosphere with nice decor, very much in line with a Tex-Mex vibe. It meets the standards of the area. The service: It was average; our waiter was generally friendly, though I had to remind her about my drink order a couple of times. The food: I ordered the Suadero tacos, which were decent. However, the issue lies with the price and portion sizes. As of today, these tacos cost over $23, not including tax and tip. That means you're looking at around $28 or more for this dish, which includes just TWO tacos on regular-sized tortillas. The beans, though tasty, were served in a container of no more than a quarter cup, and the portion of rice was about the size of my thumb. In the end, you’re paying over $14 per taco. That's absurd. My wife ordered a salad with steak, and the price for the steak add-on was higher than the salad itself. We ended up paying over $30 plus tip for a SALAD! Seriously? I understand the location adds a certain appeal, but let’s be honest—you’re not fine dining here. It’s Tex-Mex with a nice presentation. While the food tasted good, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Overall, it definitely didn't justify the bill. We won't be returning. If you value getting your money's worth, this is not the place for you.
I dined here for dinner and enjoyed the patio seating. The food was fantastic; I ordered the beef fajita tacos accompanied by rice and beans. I also sampled a spicy margarita, which was excellent. The service was top-notch, and I would definitely return.
