The restaurant was quiet and warm and cozy and festive with Christmas decorations. We came there to have dinner and see the fireworks, and finally we watched fireworks directly from the window, where we ate, which was perfect. The cream brulé was out of this world ???? View all feedback.
What luvfood doesn't like about Mr. Mesero:
We are very disappointed. This was the first Mesero restaurant we ever went to before the others opened. However, tonight was extremely disappointing. The food was not good, the salsa had no flavor, the pico de gallo was unappetizing and looked old, the drinks were decent, and the service was just average. This was definitely not the Mesero experience we are accustomed to! View all feedback.
We bounce around all over between our favorite Tex-Mex restaurants. I 'm a South Texas girl and pretty particular as far as my margaritas and salsas. Anyway, today we decided today that Mr. Mesero was hands down our favorite as far as margaritas and ceviche. Great service as well!
The restaurant is very crowded on weekends. They do not provide a specific time frame for getting a table, as it is based on first come, first served. The app notified me that my table was ready, but we ended up waiting over 20 minutes at one table while others who arrived after us were seated before us. The wait was frustrating, but the food was worth it.
We are disappointed. Mesero was the first restaurant we visited before all the others opened. However, tonight was a letdown. The food was not good, the salsa lacked flavor, the pico de gallo was tasty but appeared old, the drinks were okay, and the service was average. This was not the usual experience we have come to expect from Mesero.
I made a reservation through Common Table for 8:10 but wasn't seated until 8:40. I didn't expect to have to wait so long.
Doce Mesas is a stunning restaurant with delicious food! I loved the dad's brisket tacos with tomatillo sauce, perfect for those who enjoy mild salsa. The pollo adobado sopes were a crowd pleaser and great for sharing. The drinks were fantastic, and both desserts (pastel de leches and flan) were the perfect sweet ending to our meal. The service was excellent, with a knowledgeable server. If you're in the Knox area, I highly recommend trying Doce Mesas!
