Relaxed. We were welcomed as soon as we walked into the restaurant. Great service, delicious food, felt happy, content, and very full. I wish Lawry's was not closing. I remember when the restaurant opened in Dallas. We were so excited! All of our birthdays , anniversaries, graduations, and any other event was celebrated at Lawry's. Won't you please find another location in or near Dallas and reopen? We have one more... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lawry's The Prime Rib:
Usually eat at dinner time and service, food and atmosphere are excellent! Since the closing announcement, we were only able to get lunch reservations, and that is a way different setup. We did not enjoy this lunch setup. We had to wait in a line to get served. Not the experience we were expecting. Don't recommend it. The service was bad today. Sad to see you go. We enjoyed the food the service namely Travis made us feel at home it was great seeing you We look forward to seeing you again at your next home. It was amazing how many people's lives you've touched everybody that hugged you and came out to see you on your final day.
Great evening at Lawry's next to last night of serving wonderful dinners. Prime Rib as always was perfect. So sorry Lawry's Dallas will be no more after tomorrow evening.
Lawry's has been among my favorite dining spots for decades. However, last night was the worst dining experience I have EVER had at any restaurant! Food quality declined significantly (prime rib was full of fat and could not cut through it with knife) and the manager was rude when we requested a new cut of meat. Even if they were not closing, I do not believe I would ever return due to the management's behavior towards a loyal repeat customer.

Our waiter was young and must not be too experienced and we could tell by how bad he was at serving us. The busboy did better at helping us than he did. The other tables around us were served much better by a different waiter. We went to say goodbye to a wonderful place, but our last meal there was not a joyful final experience.
Lawry's has been a staple restaurant for me and my family since I was very young. I visited the one in Los Angeles on a regular basis. It had not visited any other of their locations since I left California 15 years ago. I was saddened to find out that they were going out of business so I visited the one here in Dallas. I can see now why they're going out of business. The service was terrible. The staff was different. The food was mediocre at best and of course it came with the high price. It said to see that such a hallmark restaurant chain is going out this way. I do not recommend that you go.
