The highlight of my visit? My waitress—a beautiful, friendly, and personable young woman. She was always smiling, laughing, and engaging in small talk with everyone around her. I’m absolutely adding this café to my list of favorites. I’ll be back, and I encourage them to keep up the fantastic work! View all feedback.
There was a 15 minute wait to get seated but I tell you, it was worth it. I had the Avocado Burger and it was scrumptious. I pondered why I can't make a burger that tastes this good at home and came to the conclusion that Goldrush Cafe actually sprinkles gold flakes in their food. Okay, maybe not. But I was either really hungry after that 15 minute wait or that was one magical burger. I live just around the corner and I promised myself to return soon to sample their breakfast which comes highly touted. Waitstaff is cool too. I returned to the Goldrush hoping to try the John Wayne breakfast plate. This is a breakfast masterpiece consisting of a flour tortilla covered with potato hash, sunny-side up eggs, red salsa and onions with bacon. Yummy!
Service is always great, environment inside is old timey but has this nice homey country feel. Definitely my favorite breakfast place to visit in Dallas! Servers are awesome and remember you when you come in and will always keep ur coffee filled to the brim •ᴗ• 。oh also they play king of the hill inside sometimes and I think that is pretty awesome
Goldrush Cafe delivers an old school atmosphere of a small town diner. The people are friendly and the food is affordable. I ordered the Reuben Sandwich and it tastes delicious. The place is always packed during lunchtime so seating will be difficult to find. Also, the bathroom is clean. I love the environment and I will definitely be returning!
Excellent place for breakfast. Fast service and fresh hot meal for a GREAT price. Can't wait to go back and try more menu items like the Reuben sandwich. Real sense of nostalgia, like stepping back in time. Had a nice time eating here. Please try, you will be happy you did.
I’ve been coming to this place for 20 years. The John Wayne plate has cured hangovers that would kill a mule and the coffee is dark as midnight plus it keeps coming until you’re jittering so hard you can’t hold the mug! Seriously though, the nicest folks serving fresh made food in a laid back atmosphere. If you want to eat like an East Dallas local, this is the spot!
