I visited this restaurant for brunch on Sunday morning. Despite being quite busy, my friend and I were seated on the patio within 10 minutes without a reservation. I ordered a vanilla latte and the Dream Benedict with grits, both of which were delicious. The only downside was that the service was extremely slow and it took a while for our food to arrive, which is why I have given it 4 stars. View all feedback.
What Demond Satterfield doesn't like about Dream Cafe Lakewood:
I visited this restaurant alone on February 28th. Upon entering, the hostess stared at me as if I was different. I had my belongings in hand and she immediately assumed I was by myself. I was there for a casual brunch and everything seemed fine until my water was brought out. While every other table received their water in fancy glasses with ice and lemon, I was given a small, dirty plastic cup without any ice or lem... View all feedback.
Very pleased to have stumbled over this place. our little group did on that morning a clean-up with 4ocean on the white rock lake and, after that clean-up a lot, we were hungry. a quick search and we ended up in this beautiful caffe full of life and energy. everyone was helpful, service was great, eating was very delicious, and we will definitely return. Despite being very busy, the waiting period was only about 20 minutes, and eating was worth it. in any case recommend!
The pricing is okay. The restaurant had good atmosphere. But the menu is just not my style. It is a cross of very healthy and western. The menu right now is pretty limited too. Worth trying. But it is not an IHOP or wafflehouse. It is much more upscale, closer to an original pancake house. It even had tiny as hell water glasses and the bottle of cold water on the table.
I met my best friend here and we had such a great time. We ordered coffee and mamosas, which came quickly, along with the crossant beignets. Everything was just great. I'm grateful they had vegitarian/vegan options, which were great. The food did take a bit longer to get to the table but it was worth it. The staff was friendly, the bathroom was clean and it's a big space so being seated quickly was no issue. I will definatly be back.
My expectations were higher when I saw that they had gluten free options, there was not gluten free options when looking at the pancakes or any sweeter items. Mainly eggs and scrambled were available as gluten free options. Disappointed.
Great food with a great staff. Try everything. The. End.
