Menu

The menu of Don Chingon from Dallas comprises about 91 different dishes and drinks. On average you pay about $10.9 for a dish / drink.

Don Chingon is a Tex-Mex restaurant with a cool decor and fun atmosphere. While the service was slow and drinks were forgotten in some cases, the waitstaff maintained a positive attitude. However, there were issues with missing ingredients and out-of-stock items. The noise level was high and service was lacking compared to other Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. Despite these drawbacks, the food was tasty, especially the smoked brisket tacos and Mexican mac and cheese. The margarita Monday deal is a highlight and the breakfast empanadas were delicious. Overall, Don Chingon is recommended for its drinks and unique offerings, but there may be better options in town for those seeking more attentive service.

Was Arlene Mohr at Don Chingon a mag?
Great atmosphere and very good food. . . Some of the items had changed from what was written in the menu, but all still very good. The noise level was definitely high View all feedback.

What Mafalda Leffler dislikes about Don Chingon:
A friend was going out of town so we decided to try a new Tex mex place. The place was really cool, love how it was decorated! The service was very slow though. But our waitress was awesome. View all feedback.

This is our fourth or fifth visit to Don Chingon, which is located in our neighborhood. We like the friendly welcome, the cool vibe, semi-sexy atmosphere, the unique desert landscaping, plus the inventive food. Our favorites are the smoked brisket tacos and the Mexican mac and cheese. Noise in this restaurant is a very major problem: the background music is always entirely too loud. Service is good but not as attentive in most other Dallas TexMex restaurants that we frequent. We will return to Don Chingon, hoping that the last two points may show improvement.

The food was a beautiful blend of flavors and our server was amazing! The ambiance was fun and you can in fact climb on to the piñata for a picture. But truly their margarita Monday deal is great!

The drinks must be incredible, because the food just wasn’t that good. It wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t... I got the fajitas for two to split with a friend, and even though it was double the price, you received the same one sides plate as the fajitas for one. Should have just ordered two singles. My husband ordered the brisket tacos and they were so bland. Overall the staff was great, but the food was ok at best.
