Even the battered fish has a higher fish-to-batter ratio, and it’s crispy rather than soggy. I’d like to give a special shout-out to a young African American man who works the night shift; his friendly and efficient service deserves commendation.

I brought this to the attention of the management, and they handled the situation promptly and without hesitation. Unlike some businesses, they didn't try to place the blame on me. I expected a discount on my meal, as I work in the food industry, but to my surprise, they refunded the total cost of our meals instead. The management was genuinely apologetic, more than once. I assured the staff that I would write them a positive review for how they handled everything. They have a great team. Thank you!

I... read more I placed an order online and spent a total of $19.53. Once my order was confirmed, I received a confirmation number indicating that it would be ready at 9:02. I arrived at 9 PM, but it took the young man at the counter a while to acknowledge my presence. I mentioned that I had ordered online and provided my name. He replied that they were preparing my order. After pulling around to wait for about 10 minutes—because there was another car in front of me—I finally reached the drive-thru window. At that point, the young man informed me that they were out of chicken. I decided not to take any food and requested a refund instead. He went to get the manager, Andrew, who was also quite rude. Andrew stated, "We don't have chicken, and I can’t give you a refund; that’s not my responsibility." I was left waiting at the drive-thru window for another five minutes, so I got out of my car and went inside. In the back, Andrew was cooking food and suddenly claimed he had my chicken. I was confused because he had just told me they were out. I was disgusted and worried about where that chicken had come from and how the food might have been handled. I asked for a corporate contact number, but Andrew said he didn’t have that information, which seemed ridiculous for someone in his position. When I called the store the next morning, another manager was also very rude and told me that they don't process refunds for online orders; instead, I would have to visit the Captain D's website to request one. I wondered why Andrew hadn’t mentioned that earlier. The staff at this establishment are unprofessional and a complete joke, and I'm still waiting for a response from corporate regarding my refund. I will never order from this place again.
