Bucky Moonshines is a hidden gem serving up delicious New Orleans-style food. Despite a mixed reviews on portion size and quality, this place is worth the try. The boudin balls were a fan favorite, paired with fantastic drinks. A great spot for celebrations, with live music and a fun atmosphere. The food and service were a hit with most, with standout dishes like the Crawfish bites and chicken tenders. The chef even accommodated special requests graciously. If you're looking for a fun, flavorful dining experience in DFW area, Bucky Moonshines comes highly recommended.
First time trying this place out with my coworkers. We ordered to go because we were limited on time during our lunch break. There was a total of 7 orders and First off the food was cooked rather quickly. We called and placed the order over the phone 20 minutes before opening. We were told all orders will be ready in 20 minutes?. When we arrive to pick up we all notice we had a 15% gratuity added to each bill. Surprising considering we ordered to go. Second the portions were very small and shady for the price we paid. And to top it all off, the food was horrible. Each and every one of us, 7 remember, had a complaint about our food. The fish was soggy with a fishy smell to it, the batter on the shrimp was not fully cooked. The hushpuppies tasted old, and the fried green tomatoes were mushy, bland, and soggy. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Its overpriced and gross. I would not recommend this place at all.
Great service and food! I would go back! Happy hour prices are pretty good too! Oh and make sure you get a drink
First time visiting Dallas, Texas seen this restaurant on TikTok, decided to take my wife there for a Saturday brunch. It was very delicious ordered the stacked chicken and waffles came with the chicken tenders and bacon over a soft nicely cooked waffle with strawberries and whip cream. my wife ordered the macaroni and cheese chicken waffle. I believe it was, she was upset because she thought it would have something to really do with macaroni and cheese, but it was a waffle with some chicken wings and a side of cheese sauce that tasted a little bit like mac cheese, but for sure there was no noodles in it. The endless mimosas for seven dollars was for sure the steal they of the show .. they keep you topped off the waitress was some professional Mamosa pourers if you ask me. we left the restaurant satisfied we sure will be back if we visit Dallas again. The missing star was because the outside tables where a lil dusty on them and needed newspaper to keep them balanced
Visited Bucky Moonshines to celebrate my dad’s birthday! They accommodated our group of about 20+ on the patio on a Saturday afternoon. The food and drinks were great and everybody was satisfied with their orders—it was great! A few of us hung aroundfor the live music and had a wonderful time! Support local business!
This spot is a hidden gem! Don’t let anyone tell you different! The food was awesome and I enjoyed the mimosas as well. One of the few spots left where you can get unlimited mimosas and for ONLY $7! For my appetizer, I had the boudin balls, they wereflavorful and delish! My entree was the chicken and jalapeño waffle. It was something different but I enjoyed the chickentenders more than the waffle. I would definitely return because all of my friends’ dishes were super good. I would just trysomething different the next time I went. But overall, I loved this spot. PS. Shoutout to the chef, he was very pleasant andeven accommodated special requests for us. He was amazing.
